The essential oil of Nádchovník (Plectranthus amboinicus) belongs among the rarer oils with a pronounced effect on the respiratory tract and a natural ability to support immunity. It is obtained from the green parts of the plant (leaves and stems) by means of dry distillation, which ensures a high concentration of active components and a typical, intensive scent. Thanks to the content of carvacrol and other phenolic substances, this oil is valued in aromatherapy and in cosmetic formulations for its antimicrobial and soothing properties.
Fragrance profile:
Supports free breathing, popular in cases of colds and respiratory discomfort.
Strong antimicrobial and antiseptic properties.
Soothes irritated or reddened skin.
Contributes to a feeling of freshness and cleanliness when used in diffusers.
Inhalation blends and diffusers to support breathing.
Massage preparations for relaxing muscles and joints (in a carrier oil).
Natural cosmetics for problematic skin.
Air fresheners, cleaning sprays and home care products.
It is recommended to dilute in a carrier oil or cosmetic base.
Typical dosage in cosmetics: 0.5–2 % depending on the product type.
When using, always follow the IFRA standards, which define the maximum allowed concentrations for individual product categories.
