Polyglyceryl-10 Laurate is a 100% natural, PEG-free solubilizer, co-emulsifier and co-surfactant. It is produced by esterification of polyglycerol with lauric acid from coconut. Polyglyceryl-10 Laurate is used for the solubilization of perfumes, essential oils and lipophilic actives into clear or slightly milky aqueous solutions. At lower dosages it functions as a co-emulsifier for light O/W emulsions and at the same time improves the tolerability of surfactant systems in shower gels or shampoos, thereby reducing irritation and providing a gentle skin feel.
