The aluminum jar with lid is a practical and elegant container, ideal for packaging various solid and semi-solid formulations. Thanks to the durable metal material, it provides the contents with reliable protection from air and light, thereby helping to maintain the stability and quality of the product during storage and use. The smooth surface of the jar allows for easy labeling or printing and for creating a coherent visual identity for your own brand.
This metal packaging is suitable for filling balms, butters, ointments, waxes or powder blends where mechanical protection, practical dosing and easy opening are important. The sturdy screw-on lid helps limit the ingress of moisture and impurities from the external environment and at the same time allows comfortable carrying in a handbag or cosmetic bag.
This product is supplied as a complete jar with lid, so there is no need to purchase separate closures or dispensing components. The combinations of packaging and closures created directly on Handymade are tested and functional. However, for all combinations we always recommend carrying out your own compatibility test (sealing, dosing and behaviour of the packaging in contact with the specific formulation).

Yes, the jar can be used repeatedly if basic hygiene principles are observed. Before each new filling, the packaging must be thoroughly cleaned and then disinfected with a suitable alcohol-based preparation, for example using the products IPA 99 % isopropyl alkohol or Ethanol 96 % denaturovaný rastlinný. This minimises the risk of microbial contamination and extends the safe period of use of your formulations.
The aluminum jar is ideal for packaging solid and semi-solid cosmetic products where the contents are applied with fingers or a spatula. It is particularly suitable for lip balms, body butters, facial balms, ointments, hair and beard waxes or solid perfumes. Thanks to its compact shape it is also often used for travel sizes or smaller test samples.
Before refilling, we recommend mechanically removing any product residues from the jar, then washing it with warm water and a suitable detergent and rinsing it well. After it has completely dried, the inner surface and the lid must be disinfected with an alcohol-based preparation, for example IPA 99 % isopropyl alkoholom or Ethanolom 96 % denaturovaným rastlinným. Only after the alcohol has evaporated and the jar is completely dry is it ready for a new filling.
If you decide not to use the jar any further, we recommend first emptying it as much as possible of any remaining product. The packaging then goes into sorted waste according to the material specified in the product parameters – for aluminum packaging usually into the container intended for metal packaging. Local sorting rules may differ, so we recommend following the instructions of your collection yard or local authority. By separating the clean metal packaging from municipal waste, you contribute to its subsequent recycling.
The aluminum jar is designed for normal cosmetic use and short-term contact with moisture, for example when handled in the bathroom. However, it is not intended for long-term storage in water or for conditions where it would be constantly exposed to high humidity. When manufacturing cosmetics, we recommend taking into account the character of your formulation and, for water-based products, choosing a more suitable type of container, for example a bottle with a closure designed for liquids.
