Return of goods and refunds

These conditions for the return of goods and refunds apply to purchases made via www.handymade.sk and provide detailed information on the conditions for returning goods, including returns from abroad and the return of cosmetic raw materials.



1. Right of withdrawal

If you are a consumer within the European Union, you have the right to withdraw from the purchase contract without giving any reason within 14 days from the day on which you or a third party designated by you (other than the carrier) takes possession of the goods, in accordance with the applicable consumer protection legislation.

To exercise the right of withdrawal, please inform the Seller by means of an unambiguous statement sent by e-mail or other durable medium.



2. General return conditions

Returned goods must be:

3. Cosmetic raw materials

Cosmetic raw materials are products that are subject to strict hygiene and safety requirements.

In accordance with Article 16(e) of Directive 2011/83/EU, the right of withdrawal does not apply to sealed goods which are not suitable for return due to health protection or hygiene reasons, if their protective seal has been broken after delivery.

This applies in particular to cosmetic raw materials, ingredients, liquids, powders, extracts and similar products offered in the Seller’s online shop.

Cosmetic raw materials can only be returned if:

Products that have been opened, unsealed, partially used or otherwise contaminated cannot be accepted for return for hygiene and safety reasons.


For products with an indicated expiry date or minimum durability date, this information is clearly stated on the product page at the time of purchase. By submitting the order, the customer acknowledges and accepts the indicated expiry date or minimum durability date.

Products with a shorter expiry date or minimum durability are often offered as promotional or discounted items. A shorter usability period is not considered a defect and does not constitute a reason for returning the goods or for a complaint.



4. Costs of returning goods

Unless stated otherwise, the direct costs of returning the goods are borne by the customer. This applies in particular to returns from abroad (outside the country in which the Seller operates).

The shipping costs paid for the delivery of the goods are non-refundable, except in cases where mandatory consumer protection regulations provide otherwise.



5. Returns from abroad

For returns from abroad, the customer is responsible for choosing an appropriate carrier and for ensuring that the shipment is properly packed and, if necessary, insured.

The costs of international returns may vary significantly depending on the country of dispatch and the chosen carrier.



6. Returns via the Seller’s carriers

If the costs of returning goods from abroad are unreasonably high, customers may contact the Seller and enquire about the possibility of returning the goods via the Seller’s contractual carriers.

If such an option is available, the return shipment will be arranged by the Seller and the customer will be charged the return fee according to the Seller’s current price list.

The availability of this option depends on the country of return, the nature of the goods and the services of the particular carrier.



7. Refunds

After withdrawal from the purchase contract, all payments received for the returned goods will be refunded without undue delay and at the latest within 14 days from the day on which the Seller receives the returned goods.

The refund will be made using the same means of payment as were used for the original transaction, unless expressly agreed otherwise.

Any costs of returning the goods that were paid by the customer (including returns arranged via the Seller’s carriers) are non-refundable.



7.1 Refund of delivery costs

In the event of withdrawal from the purchase contract within the statutory withdrawal period and the return of the entire order, the Seller will refund the purchase price of the goods together with the delivery costs.

The delivery costs will only be refunded up to the amount corresponding to the cheapest standard delivery method offered by the Seller at the time of purchase.

If the customer has expressly chosen a delivery method that is more expensive than the cheapest standard option (for example express or priority delivery), the difference in the delivery price will not be refunded.

The costs of returning the goods to the Seller are borne by the customer, unless mandatory consumer protection regulations provide otherwise.
