Essential oil, German chamomile is obtained by steam distillation of the flowers of German chamomile Chamomilla recutita. This valuable oil has a long history of use in traditional medicine and cosmetics. Thanks to its chamazulene content, it has a typical bluish colour and a specific aroma.
