Product description

Rosehip CO₂-to seed extract BIO is a pure plant oil extract obtained from the dried seeds of Rosa canina (rosehip) using supercritical carbon dioxide extraction. This gentle process preserves all the bioactive components of rosehip seeds - especially the unsaturated fatty acids, tocopherols and carotenoids, which have significant regenerative and antioxidant effects. The extract is orange-red in colour, clear and oily, with a delicate fruity aroma. It is stabilised with a small amount of organic rosemary antioxidant, which improves its resistance to oxidation and prolongs its shelf life. It is a CO₂-to (total extract) - a complete extract containing the full spectrum of lipid components, including fatty acids, sterols, tocopherols and carotenoids.

Supercritical carbon dioxide extraction (CO₂)
Designation: CO₂-to - total extract (complete extract with all lipid components)
D/E ratio: 12-15 kg of dried rosehip seeds per 1 kg of extract
Ingredients: 99.9% CO₂ extract from rosehip seeds (BIO), 0.1% rosemary antioxidant (BIO)

Key benefits

  • Rich source of essential fatty acids - contains 41-59% linoleic acid (omega-6), 20-35% α-linolenic acid (omega-3) and 12-22% oleic acid (omega-9).
  • Strong antioxidant effect - thanks to the natural content of tocopherols and carotenoids, it protects the skin against oxidative stress and premature ageing.
  • Regenerates and nourishes the skin - promotes cell renewal, improves elasticity and helps soften scars and pigment spots.
  • Moisturising and protective action - strengthens the skin barrier, improves hydration and gives the skin a healthy appearance.

Cosmetic use

In cosmetics, rosehip seed oil is known as an intensely regenerative and anti-aging extract. Thanks to its content of essential fatty acids, tocopherols and carotenoids , it stimulates cell renewal and accelerates the regeneration of damaged skin. It is ideal for dry, mature, sensitive or damaged skin where it helps to soften scars, wrinkles or pigment spots. It improves hydration, elasticity and protects the skin from both moisture loss and free radical damage. In hair care products, it regenerates hair fibres, strengthens their structure and adds shine. For its nourishing and protective effects, it is often combined with other CO₂ extracts and vegetable oils.

Safety and storage

For external use only. Store in a cool, dry and dark place, well sealed and out of reach of children. Warm and stir before use. It is recommended to store in dark containers to preserve the stability of the fatty acids and antioxidants.

What type of skin is rosehip oil suitable for?

It is suitable for dry, mature, sensitive or damaged skin. It promotes regeneration, improves elasticity and leaves the skin smooth and hydrated.

Does rosehip extract help with scars and wrinkles?

Yes, thanks to its essential fatty acid and antioxidant content , it improves skin regeneration, promotes skin renewal and helps soften scars, pigment spots and fine lines.

What does "CO₂-to" mean?

CO₂-to stands for total extract - a complete CO₂ extract that contains all the lipid components of the plant, including waxes, antioxidants and fatty acids. This type of extract has a higher nutritional value and stability than "selective" (CO₂-se) extracts.
