Rounded Clear Plastic Bottle, Silver Pump, 150 ml

The clear PET bottle with a volume of 150 ml is supplied together with a pump with a 24/410 neck finish, so once filled the product is ready for use and for sale. Through the clear plastic you can see the colour of the contents and, at a glance, how much body lotion or liquid soap is left. PET is lightweight and shatter-resistant, so the bottle suits the bathroom by the sink, travel and parcels for customers. The glossy silver collar of the pump complements an otherwise understated clear bottle.

The whole set is declared as suitable for contact with cosmetic products and is intended for cosmetic use.

What it is suitable for

The pump dispenses a small amount with each press, which suits products that are applied repeatedly and in smaller quantities.

• Body lotions and light emulsions – a liquid to medium-thick consistency passes through the dip tube and the pump without problems.
• Liquid soaps and cleansing gels for hands and face – one-handed dispensing at the sink, without unscrewing the cap.
• Shampoos and conditioners in liquid form, as well as massage and body oils.
• Hand creams with a lighter, pumpable texture.

Thick creams, body butters and products with a high proportion of wax are not suitable for the pump. The pump either fails to draw them up or becomes clogged. If the viscosity is borderline, we recommend trying one bottle before filling the whole batch.

Filling and using the pump

The nominal volume is the amount the bottle is designed for under normal filling. Space must remain above the surface for the dip tube and the body of the pump, and for the expansion of the contents when the temperature changes. For this reason, fill the bottle up to the nominal volume, not up to the rim of the neck. If the bottle is filled up to the neck, the contents overflow when the pump is screwed on and the pump may draw in air.

The dip tube of the pump reaches the bottom of the bottle. As the level drops, the product is drawn up reliably for as long as the opening of the tube stays below the surface. Not all of the remainder at the bottom can be pumped out. The pump is not airless, so air enters the bottle with every press. Products with a water phase must therefore be properly preserved, as in any other open packaging.

Good to know

Before the first filling, wash the bottle and the pump, disinfect them with isopropyl alcohol or ethanol and leave them to dry completely. Rinse the dip tube and the pump with clean water and leave them to drain, as residual water would dilute the first dose.

The clear material lets light through. It suits products that are not harmed by light and packs used under artificial lighting in the bathroom. Formulations with light-sensitive ingredients are better suited to dark glass or should be kept out of direct sunlight.

The bottle has a 24/410 neck finish, so it can also be used with other closures with the same type of neck from the Handymade range. If you combine parts yourself, we recommend checking the seal and dispensing with the specific contents. For recycling, the pump is separated from the bottle. The body of the bottle is PET, while the pump combines plastic with an aluminium collar, so they are sorted separately.
