For plastic packaging made of PET material, it is important to follow the recommended conditions of use. PET material should not be exposed to high temperatures, since excessive heating poses a risk of deformation of the packaging. For this reason, the packaging is not suitable for washing in a dishwasher or for boiling. For cleaning and preparing the packaging for repeated use, we recommend gentle manual washing and disinfection according to the recommendations in the FAQ section.

FAQ – Frequently asked questions

Is this plastic bottle with sprayer suitable for thicker preparations?

The spray mechanism is designed primarily for liquid and low-viscosity formulations such as waters, hydrolats, alcohol solutions or light toners. With thicker emulsions or oil blends, the misting performance may deteriorate or the nozzle may clog. Before scaling up to production, we recommend always performing a test with a small amount of the specific product to verify smooth dosing and reliable functionality of the sprayer.

Can I reuse this PET bottle for different products?

The packaging can be reused if strict hygiene principles are observed. Before each refilling, the bottle and sprayer must be thoroughly cleaned and then disinfected with a suitable alcohol-based preparation, for example isopropyl alcohol IPA 99 % or denatured plant ethanol. For this purpose, you can use products available on Handymade: IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol and Ethanol 96 % denatured plant-based. After disinfection, allow the packaging to dry thoroughly at room temperature away from direct sunlight. Also bear in mind that PET material is not suitable for boiling or contact with very hot water, to prevent deformation of the bottle.

How should I correctly store filled PET bottles to maintain the quality of both contents and packaging?

Always store filled bottles in a dry, clean and shaded place at a stable room temperature. Avoid placing them near heat sources, in direct sunlight or in closed cars during hot days, where excessive heating and gradual deformation of the PET material may occur. It is advisable to store the packaging upright, with the sprayer properly tightened, to prevent leakage of the contents and to ensure correct functioning of the pump mechanism.

How can I dispose of or recycle this PET bottle in an eco-friendly way if I no longer want to use it?

If you decide not to reuse the packaging, we recommend recycling it responsibly in accordance with the recommendation given in the parameter table for the product. Before handing it over for sorted collection, empty the packaging, remove any product residues and separate the individual parts (for example the bottle body and plastic sprayer), if possible.
