Schisandra chinensis CO₂-to extract BIO is a pure plant oil extract obtained from the dried fruits of Schisandra sphenanthera using supercritical carbon dioxide extraction. This process is carried out without the use of chemical solvents, heavy metals or salts, thus preserving the high purity and biological activity of the raw material. The extract has a brown colour, an oily consistency and a delicate, aromatic scent typical of schizandra fruit. Due to its unique lignans content, it is one of the most valuable extracts of traditional Chinese phytotherapy, having soothing, antioxidant and anti-inflammatory effects. It is a CO₂-to (total extract) - a complete extract containing the full spectrum of the plant's constituents, including essential and fatty oils, lignans and sterols.
