FAQ – Frequently asked questions

Can this glass bottle be used repeatedly?

Yes, the packaging can be used repeatedly if handled correctly and if hygiene principles are followed. Before each new filling, the bottle must be thoroughly cleaned and then disinfected with a suitable agent, for example isopropyl alcohol ALK001 or ethanol ALK002. Only after it is completely dry is the bottle ready to be filled again.

How to properly clean the glass bottle before first use?

Before the first filling, we recommend rinsing the bottle with warm water and a suitable cleaning agent, letting it drain thoroughly and dry. It is then advisable to disinfect the inner surface and any closure using alcohol, for example the products IPA 99 % or ethanol 96 % denatured plant-based. This reduces the risk of microbial contamination of the cosmetics.

Is this bottle suitable for thicker oil-based or more viscous products?

The glass bottle is also suitable for thicker oil formulations, serum blends and concentrated oil elixirs. However, when choosing the specific type of closure or dispenser, we recommend taking into account the viscosity of the product so that dosing remains smooth and comfortable. For very thick products, a closure with a larger outlet diameter or a dropper with a sufficiently wide pipette may be more suitable.

How to properly recycle the glass bottle if I do not want to use it further?

If you decide not to reuse the packaging, we recommend recycling it according to the recommendations given in the product parameters. After emptying, the glass bottle must be freed from any remaining contents, any plastic or metal parts of the closure must be separated, and the glass container must be placed in the appropriate sorted-waste container according to local rules. In this way you support the reuse of the material and reduce the amount of waste.
