White plastic bottle with black pump dispenser, 100 ml

Face lotion, liquid soap, shampoo or oil serum dispensed with a single press without opening the packaging. The set consists of a white PET bottle with a nominal volume of 100 ml and a black pump dispenser with the same neck type. Suitable for liquid and medium-viscosity formulations: face and body lotions, liquid soaps, shampoos, conditioners, oil serums, massage oils or cleansing gels. The white opaque wall blocks light, so it can also be filled with light-sensitive ingredients such as vegetable oils or vitamin C preparations.

The set is declared as suitable for contact with cosmetics. Both the bottle and the dispenser also hold a certificate for direct food contact, so the complete set can also be used for homemade oils, syrups, liquid sweeteners or dressings. The declaration of conformity and certificates are listed with the product.

Which products is it suitable for

The dispenser works best with formulations that can be drawn up through the tube and pushed through the nozzle: emulsions with low to medium viscosity, liquid surfactant products, oils, oil and water serums, liquid hair nutrients. In food use, these include oils, dressings, syrups or liquid honey.

Less suitable are thick creams, butters, formulations with exfoliating particles, and products with oily or waxy components that solidify in the cold. Such products will clog the dispenser or fail to be drawn up at all. The set is also not intended for products that need to be sprayed, or for carbonated or fermenting contents where pressure builds up.

Nominal and total volume

Nominal volume is the volume for which the bottle is designed for normal filling. Total volume to the brim is the physical capacity up to the neck and is slightly larger. The difference accounts for the tube and dispenser body, which take up some space once screwed in, and for expansion of the contents with temperature changes. The bottle should therefore be filled to the nominal volume, not to the brim. Otherwise, when fitting the dispenser, the contents overflow through the neck and contaminate the thread.

What is useful to know when using

Before first filling, we recommend washing and disinfecting both the bottle and the dispenser with isopropyl alcohol or ethanol and allowing them to dry completely. The dispenser should be flushed by pumping clean water through it several times, then alcohol, so that the internal mechanism also dries out.

The dispenser tube is supplied longer than the height of the bottle. Before first use, trim it at an angle so that it ends just above the bottom. The angled cut prevents the tube from sticking to the bottom and allows the contents to be dispensed almost completely.

PET is not intended for hot filling. Allow emulsions and liquid soaps to cool to room temperature before filling, otherwise the wall may deform. The packaging is not intended for aggressive chemicals. For formulations with a high proportion of undiluted essential oils or solvents (such as nail polish removers or acetone-based products), we recommend testing the packaging behaviour on a small sample. PET is suitable for standard cosmetic emulsions, oils and surfactant products.

The dispenser is harder to clean thoroughly after first use, so it is recommended to refill with the same type of product. The smooth white wall labels well.

When dispensing formulations with a low preservative level or none at all (such as pure oils), keep the nozzle clean. Dried residue on the nozzle is where contamination appears first.

Closures with the same neck type and other ready-made combinations are available in the Handymade range. For a custom combination, we recommend verifying the seal, dispensing and packaging behaviour with the specific formulation. The bottle is made of PET and the dispenser of PP. Before recycling, disassemble the set; both parts belong in plastic waste.
