White Plastic Bottle, Black Spray with Glossy Silver Collar, 200 ml

The white plastic bottle with a black fine mist sprayer is a ready-made set for thin water-based cosmetic sprays: toners, hydrosols, hair and body sprays or refreshing mists. The nominal volume of 200 ml is enough for daily use at home and in a salon, and the spray will not sit opened for months.

The black sprayer with a glossy silver collar gives the set a cohesive look without any further fine-tuning of the closure. The PET bottle is lightweight and unbreakable, so it holds up in the bathroom, in a handbag and while travelling.

What the set is suitable for

• Facial toners and hydrosols – thin water-based solutions that the sprayer disperses into an even mist.
• Hair sprays – light conditioning or shine-giving sprays without an oil base.
• Body and refreshing sprays – for example summer mists with a low proportion of solubilised fragrances.

A mechanical fine mist sprayer works with liquids of low viscosity. It will not disperse thick solutions, gels and oil-based preparations evenly and may become clogged. For these, choose a different type of closure.

Filling and dispensing

One press of the sprayer dispenses approximately 0.12 ml of content, which is enough for a fine layer without running. The tube reaches to the bottom of the bottle so that almost all of the content can be used up. When filling, keep in mind the difference between nominal and brimful volume. The nominal volume is the amount the bottle is designed for under normal filling. The brimful volume is the physical volume up to the neck. The space between them provides a reserve for the sprayer tube and for the expansion of the content when the temperature changes.

Before first use, press the sprayer several times until the tube fills and the spray starts to come out evenly.

Good to know

Before first filling, rinse the bottle and the sprayer, spray them with alcohol or isopropyl alcohol and let them dry completely. Otherwise, residual moisture would get into the finished preparation before its first use. The set can be used repeatedly. When changing the formulation, rinse the sprayer with clean water and spray it through so that no residues of the previous content remain in the mechanism.

The whole set is declared suitable for contact with cosmetics. Only the bottle has a separate certificate for direct food contact. The sprayer does not have one, so the set as a whole is intended for cosmetic preparations.

Do not expose the bottle to aggressive chemicals. For formulations with a higher proportion of alcohol, essential oils or solvents, we recommend testing the behaviour of the bottle and the sprayer on a small sample. The bottle is made of PET and goes into plastic recycling once used up. The sprayer combines polypropylene with aluminium, so separate it from the bottle before recycling.
