Product description
The white plastic 200 ml bottle and the white fine mist sprayer with a silver matte collar make a ready-to-use set for thin cosmetic products that are applied by spraying. These include toners, hydrosols, face and body sprays, hair sprays and refreshing travel waters. The PET bottle is lightweight and unbreakable, so you can carry it in your bag. The bottle and the sprayer have the same 24/410 neck finish.
How the set works
The sprayer is mechanical and works without a propellant. Pressing the head draws the contents up through the dip tube and disperses them into fine droplets. One press releases approximately 0.12 ml of product, which is enough to moisten the skin or hair evenly. The sprayer cannot handle thicker liquids such as gel toners or emulsions: the head is hard to press and a stream comes out instead of a mist. The silver matte collar is made of aluminium and covers the joint between the head and the bottle neck.
The white bottle and the white sprayer look uniform on the shelf, with the silver on the collar as the only contrast. The set suits your own brand as well as samples and gift packs, where a clean appearance matters.
What it is suitable for
- Toners and hydrosols – watery products with low viscosity pass through the sprayer without problems and are dispersed into a fine mist.
- Face and body sprays – refreshing waters, thermal sprays and after-sun sprays. The 200 ml volume lasts for several weeks of regular use.
- Hair sprays – detangling sprays, nourishing water-based sprays or heat protection products, as long as they are thin.
The bottle has a separate food-contact certificate, while the sprayer does not. The set as a whole is therefore intended for cosmetics, and both components are declared as suitable for contact with cosmetic products.
Filling and volume
The nominal volume of 200 ml is the amount the bottle is intended to hold in normal filling. The total brim-full volume is larger, because the bottle must leave room for the dip tube and the part of the sprayer that extends into the neck, as well as a reserve for the expansion of the contents when the temperature changes. Fill up to the nominal volume, not up to the neck. If you fill the bottle to the brim, the contents will be pushed out through the thread when the sprayer is screwed on, or the seal will be impaired.
Before the first filling, check that the sprayer dip tube reaches the bottom of the bottle. If it is longer than necessary, shorten it with a sharp knife or scissors so that it does not bend or curl once the sprayer is screwed on.
Good to know
Before first use, rinse the bottle and the sprayer with clean water, disinfect them with isopropyl alcohol or ethanol and leave them to dry completely. Residual water in the bottle or in the dip tube would dilute the first doses and could affect the microbiological purity of the product.
With a higher proportion of essential oils, fragrance compositions or solvents, we recommend testing the behaviour of the bottle, and especially of the sprayer seals, with your specific formulation, for example on a single piece over several weeks. Fill the contents once they have cooled to room temperature. Store the bottle in a dry, clean place, away from direct sunlight and aggressive chemicals.
When reusing the sprayer, flush it by pressing it several times with clean water to remove the previous contents from the dip tube and the mechanism. If the sprayer starts to spray a stream instead of a mist after some time, or is hard to press, the nozzle is clogged and rinsing with warm water will help.
High viscosity, particles and sediments in the product will clog the sprayer. Filter infusions and extracts before filling, and use the sprayer only for clear or slightly cloudy thin liquids.
You will find closures with the same neck finish and ready-made bottle plus closure combinations in the Handymade range. If you make your own combination, we recommend checking the seal, the dispensing and the behaviour of the packaging with your specific formulation.
The bottle is made of PET and belongs in plastic recycling. The sprayer combines plastic with an aluminium collar, so unscrew it before disposal and sort it separately from the bottle.
