White vinegar will also be a miracle helper for your household chores

White vinegar is a traditional household helper that has many uses, some of which you may not even have known about. This characteristically scented clear liquid, obtained by fermenting alcohol with vinegar bacteria, deserves a place in the home as a versatile helper and the basis for eco-friendly cleaning products. Not only for this purpose, white vinegar with a 10% acetic acid concentration is perfect.

WHITE VINEGAR AND ITS USES

It's not only in household cleaning that you can use white vinegar. This versatile helper will also help you take care of your garden, furniture or pets and offers much more. Let's take a look together at a few uses for white vinegar.

WHITE VINEGAR AND WEEDS

If your paving or walkway is overgrown with weeds, you can use white vinegar to control them. Try spraying the weeds with undiluted vinegar in these cases. If you want to get rid of weeds around flowers or other plants that you don't want to damage, try rubbing vinegar on the leaves of unwanted weeds. For best results, it is a good idea to apply the vinegar on dry sunny days so that any rain does not wash the white vinegar off the leaves.

WHITE VINEGAR AND THE DISHWASHER

There are two ways to use white vinegar in caring for your dishwasher and dishes. Firstly, vinegar is a great rinse agent, helping to reduce the number of visible dried water droplets on the surface of your dishes. Simply pour a small amount of white vinegar into the rinse aid container in your dishwasher.


The other way to use vinegar is to clean the dishwasher itself. White vinegar makes it easier to get rid of limescale deposits. Therefore, at least once a year, it's a good idea to pour a cup or so of vinegar into an empty dishwasher and run a short cycle to remove limescale or detergent deposits.

WHITE VINEGAR AND PETS

If your dog has a problem with itchy ears or milder inflammation, try diluting white vinegar 1:4 (1 part vinegar to 4 parts water) and soaking a clean cloth in the mixture. Use this to gently clean your pet's ears.


If you want to get rid of unwanted feline visitors on your property, try spraying undiluted vinegar where cats tend to hang out.

WHITE VINEGAR AND TILES/SANITATION

Many people tend to reach for save, bleach or similar when cleaning discolored and dirty sanitary ware or tiles and grout. However, white vinegar is also a very effective aid in cleaning and bleaching tiles and tiles and is also safer to handle than chlorinated products. Try spraying white vinegar on the sanitary ware and tiles you need to clean and leave it on for at least an hour. Then clean with a brush.

WHITE VINEGAR AND THE CAR

If you want to get rid of unwanted stickers, either on the glass or on the bumper of your car, try white vinegar. Apply a small amount of undiluted vinegar to the sticker and leave it on for a while. Repeat the process if you still can't remove the sticker.


Of course, white vinegar can be used as an effective glass and window cleaner. At the same time, white vinegar will help you cover up unpleasant odours in the car.

WHITE VINEGAR AND LAUNDRY

White vinegar has many uses in laundry, making it an indispensable helper in any household that wants greener, cheaper and safer laundry. To remove food stains such as mustard, ketchup, tomato or grass stains or deodorant residue, spray a small amount of diluted vinegar on the stain or soak the entire piece of clothing in water with a little vinegar to help bring back the white colour of the fabric.


However, do not use vinegar on delicate fabrics such as wool, silk and the like, as the vinegar could damage them.


Similar to dishwasher detergent, white vinegar helps get rid of limescale deposits in the washing machine. If your washing machine smells, shows a lot of limescale, pour a cup of vinegar into the powder tray and run a short cycle. The vinegar also helps remove the detergent build-up from the hopper.


Try making your own fabric softener with just three ingredients!

Try the mixture:

- 350 ml white vinegar
- 350 ml water
- 20 drops of lavender or tea tree essential oil

WHITE VINEGAR AND KITCHEN

If your coffee maker contains limescale residue and is no longer working as efficiently as it used to, pour in about a cup of diluted vinegar and run a cycle. Be sure to rinse the coffee maker with clean water before making coffee.


You can also use white vinegar to clean stainless steel cookware or cutlery. Undiluted vinegar helps clean cutting boards, especially those made of wood. To clean your microwave, try pouring diluted vinegar into a bowl and letting it heat up in the microwave for a while. You can then easily wipe off any previously dried-on food residue from the inside of the microwave.


If you have a problem with a poorly draining and smelly sink, try pouring ¼ cup of baking soda down the drain and then pour 1 cup of vinegar down the drain. It's also a good idea to cover the drain with a drain plug. The reaction between the two substances will help get rid of food residue. If the sink still does not drain, you can repeat the process 2-3 times.

WHITE VINEGAR AND ITS OTHER USES

Do you know that white vinegar can help you clean your computer screen or greasy keys? Mix equal parts water and vinegar in a container and soak a cloth in the mixture, then wring it out thoroughly, almost dry - don't use white vinegar spray to avoid damaging your electronics.


Make sure all equipment is switched off and unplugged and clean surfaces carefully. You can also use cotton buds on the keys. You can also remove grease from the piano keys in the same way.


If you have ballpoint pen stains and scribbles left on your desk, don't despair. Try diluted vinegar to remove them more easily. White vinegar can also help you get rid of glass rings on tables or other furniture.


To clean carpets, add one cup of white vinegar to 4 litres of water and then brush the carpet clean. If you have a problem with mould forming on the underside of your doormats, try spraying the underside of the carpet or doormat with undiluted vinegar.

WHEN NOT TO USE WHITE VINEGAR?

Never mix white vinegar with bleach, mop cleaner or any other chlorinated product - the fumes produced will be toxic.


Also, do not use vinegar on natural stone surfaces, especially marble, limestone, etc., as the acetic acid will react with these surfaces and may erode them.
