Product description

Wooden wick .03 crackling with a width of 15.9 mm is a flat wooden wick for making container candles. It belongs to the crackling series, so a burning candle produces not only light but also sound. It comes as a complete set with a round metal sustainer that holds the wick upright on the bottom of the container. The pack contains 100 pcs.

The wick is made from certified wood. The manufacturer describes it as a natural, biodegradable material free from allergens.

What makes this wick interesting

Single ply – the wick consists of a single flat wooden ply, as with the entire crackling series.
Thickness .03 – the manufacturer's designation for the ply thickness. A higher number means a thicker ply.
Steel sustainer – has a round base and is suitable for straight, double, and cross wooden wicks.

Use in candle making

Insert the wick into the sustainer and place the sustainer in the centre of the bottom of a clean, dry container. Then pour the wax. The wick is 127 mm tall and is trimmed to match the height of the container.

Before producing a larger batch, we recommend pouring a test candle to verify how the wick burns in your container and with your wax.

Never leave a burning candle unattended.
