Glass bottle – roll-on vial 5 ml is a practical and elegant packaging intended mainly for filling liquid cosmetic preparations, oil blends and concentrated formulations that require precise and comfortable application using a roll-on ball. Thanks to high-quality glass, the contents are stable, protected from environmental influences and suitably presented even in smaller, travel-size or trial packages. The roll-on system enables targeted, economical and hygienic dosing without unnecessary contact of the product with air and the skin on the fingers.
This glass bottle – vial is designed as packaging for roll-on application, and within the Handymade assortment it can be combined, according to selected parameters, with compatible caps and ball inserts. Sets prepared in this way are ideal for producing finished roll-on products with precise dosing.
The glass bottles in our range are compatible with various types of caps and dosing systems (for example screw caps, droppers, sprayers or practical applicators) according to the selected parameters. Combinations of packaging and caps that are created directly on Handymade are tested and functional. However, for all combinations we always recommend performing your own compatibility test (sealing, dosing and the behaviour of the packaging in contact with the specific formulation) so that you can be sure the final product will be reliable in long-term use.

The glass bottle with roll-on application is intended primarily for liquid to medium-viscosity oil and serum formulations. For very thick oils or gels we recommend performing a trial filling and testing whether the ball ensures smooth dosing without sticking. If necessary, it is possible to adjust the viscosity of the formula or choose another form of applicator from the range of compatible packaging.
When filling the bottle we recommend using a funnel or a dosing pipette, not overfilling the internal volume and leaving a small air reserve below the point where the roll-on insert is fitted. After inserting the ball and attaching the cap, it is advisable to turn the bottle upside down and roll it gently over the skin several times so that the system “runs in” and the sealing can be checked. Before series production, always test a few pieces first with the specific formula.
The packaging can be reused provided that basic hygiene principles are observed and remnants of the original product are thoroughly removed between fillings. Before each new filling, the bottle, roll-on insert and cap must be carefully cleaned and disinfected with a suitable agent, for example using isopropyl alcohol or ethanol from our range (<a href="/ipa-99-isopropyl-alkohol-1-l/" target="_blank">IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol</a>, <a href="/etanol-96-denaturovany-rastlinny-1-l/" target="_blank">ethanol 96 % denatured plant-based</a>). This will reduce the risk of microbial contamination and of affecting the fragrance or stability of the new formulation.
If you decide not to reuse the packaging, we recommend recycling it according to the material composition stated in the product parameters. The glass bottle can, after removing product residues and any labels, be sorted into the container designated for glass. The plastic or metal parts of the roll-on system (ball, insert, cap) should be sorted separately according to the type of material stated for the product. Before recycling, it is advisable to at least roughly rinse the packaging to minimize residues of the cosmetic product.
