This balm is suitable for people troubled by dry elbows, heels, hands, lips or eyelids, or nipples during breastfeeding. It is also suitable for the sensitive skin of children. It strengthens the protective barrier on the skin, which can be stressed in cold weather, but does not leave a greasy feeling. It contains substances that benefit the skin – they hydrate, regenerate and protect it. It has a delicate, pleasant scent.
From the listed amount of ingredients we obtain about 90 grams of lanolin balm for dry skin.
Into a container disinfected with ethanol (ideally made of heat-resistant glass) we weigh ingredients A and melt them in a water bath. Stir until the mixture is perfectly liquid.
Then remove the container from the water bath and let it cool at room temperature. When it starts to thicken, gradually stir in ingredient B – the arnica macerate. To obtain a pleasant creamy consistency, it is good to use a hand electric mixer (whisk) and alternately cool the mixture in the refrigerator and whip it again. When we repeat this procedure several times, we obtain a soft but firmer balm.
At the end we also add ingredients C, which improves not only the scent but also the quality of our balm.
