Carnauba wax is extracted from the leaves of the Brazilian palm tree.
It is rich in fatty acid esters. It is usually used in combination with beeswax. It is pale yellow with a characteristic scent. It nourishes, protects and moisturises the skin. It has regenerating effects. It is used in cosmetic preparations mainly to improve consistency. It is easy to apply. Acts as an emulsifier. It does not contain allergens and is therefore suitable for all skin types. It leaves a protective film on the skin.
Hair is much shinier after application. The wax can be used as an ingredient in shampoos, conditioners, creams, lip balms, make-up, sunscreens and lipsticks.
