The airless bottle is a modern cosmetic packaging designed for hygienic and precise dispensing of products without direct contact of the contents with air. Thanks to the airless system, it helps reduce the risk of contamination and is suitable for filling formulas for which you want better protection against oxidative deterioration and a minimization of preservative use.
This practical cosmetic container is ideal for dispensing liquid and cream products with different viscosities. The internal mechanism works with negative pressure, so when filled correctly it allows an almost complete emptying of the contents without residues on the bottom and walls of the packaging. Thanks to its elegant appearance, the airless bottle is suitable for home-made, artisanal and professional natural cosmetic brands.
Airless bottles are designed as a ready-made functional unit with an integrated dispensing mechanism. When selecting other types of bottles on Handymade.sk, it applies that they are compatible with various types of closures and dispensing options (for example screw caps, droppers, sprayers or practical applicators) according to the chosen parameters. Combinations of packaging and closures that are created directly on Handymade are tested and functional. However, for all combinations we always recommend performing your own compatibility test (sealing, dosing and the behavior of the packaging in contact with the specific formulation).

When filling the airless bottle, we recommend filling slowly and smoothly, without trapping air bubbles in the mass. It is advisable to fill the packaging up to the marked maximum level so that the necessary space for the piston to function remains. After filling and closing, it is practical to make several test presses of the pump to create negative pressure and “start” the system. For thicker creams, the first dispensing may take slightly longer, which is common with airless systems.
The packaging can be reused if hygiene principles are observed and the type of your formulation is taken into account. Before each new filling, it is necessary to thoroughly clean the bottle and all parts of the mechanism and disinfect them with a suitable alcohol-based disinfectant, for example isopropyl alcohol IPA 99% – isopropyl alcohol or plant ethanol Ethanol 96% denatured plant-based. After its action, the disinfectant must evaporate completely, and only then may the packaging be refilled. For professional use, we recommend having a dedicated packaging circuit for each formulation.
For routine maintenance we recommend wiping the surface of the packaging with a soft damp cloth and avoiding aggressive cleaning agents that could permanently damage the plastic surface. During use, try not to overload the pump and do not apply excessive force when pressing in order to avoid mechanical damage. During transport and storage, it is advisable to use a protective cap so that the applicator part does not get dirty and is not activated by accidental pressing in a bag or parcel.
If you decide not to reuse the packaging, we recommend emptying it as much as possible and wiping off product residues with a paper towel. Then adapt the method of recycling to the information about the material given in the product parameter table on the page. According to the type of plastic (indicated recycling symbol and material abbreviation), assign the individual parts of the packaging to the appropriate sorted waste stream in accordance with local collection rules. In the case of a combination of several materials, it is ideal to separate these parts from each other (for example, separate the outer shell, the internal pump mechanism and the cap) so that recycling is more efficient.

This way, you can quickly display only those bottles, jars or pots that match your formulation and desired design. For specific requirements, we recommend checking the detailed product parameters and, if necessary, ordering a smaller quantity for testing.
