Airless serum bottle – plastic packaging is a practical solution for hygienic dispensing of cosmetic products with minimized contact with air. Thanks to the airless system, it is suitable for filling sensitive liquid formulations, such as serums, emulsions or light gels, where better protection against oxidation and contamination is desirable. This cosmetic packaging provides precise dosing, convenient application and a professional appearance of the final product.
The airless bottle is primarily suitable for light to medium-viscosity formulations, such as liquid serums, fluids, emulsions and light gels. For thicker creams we always recommend carrying out a trial filling to verify smooth pumping, even dosing and complete emptying of the packaging. In the case of very dense textures, another type of dispensing pump or a jar-type container may be more suitable.
Before the first filling, it is important to clean the packaging mechanically (rinsing with suitable water or according to your production standards) and then disinfect it. For disinfection we recommend using alcohol-based preparations, for example IPA 99% isopropyl alcohol or ethanol 96% denatured plant-based. After disinfection, allow all parts of the packaging to dry thoroughly at room temperature and only then proceed to filling, in order to minimize the risk of contamination of the final product.
The packaging can be reused provided you follow strict hygiene principles. Before each new filling, the bottle and all its parts must be disassembled, mechanically cleaned and then disinfected with a suitable alcohol-based disinfectant, for example IPA 99% isopropyl alcohol or ethanol 96% denatured plant-based. After disinfection, allow the packaging to dry completely. Repeated use is not recommended if the packaging is visibly damaged or deformed, or if you have stricter hygiene requirements (for example in semi-professional production).
If you decide not to reuse the packaging, we recommend recycling it according to the material type stated in the parameter table for the product on the Handymade website. Before placing it in the sorted collection, it is advisable to remove product residues, rinse the packaging and, where possible, separate the individual parts (for example the bottle body and the pump mechanism) if they are different types of plastics. Then place the packaging in the appropriate container for sorted waste in accordance with local recycling rules in your municipality or city.
The simplest way is to use the advanced filter in the relevant packaging category. After clicking on the category (for example bottles, vials, jars or dispensing pumps), you will find the advanced filter at the top of the page. There you can filter packaging according to neck type, size, colour and material, which helps you quickly narrow down the selection to packaging that is suitable for your specific product and method of use.
To verify compatibility, we recommend filling a small test amount of the product and monitoring its behaviour over several days to weeks. Focus on smooth operation of the pump, even dosing, possible clogging of the mechanism and changes in the appearance of the plastic in contact with the formulation (softening, cracking, discolouration). At the same time, observe the stability of the product itself in the packaging (phase separation, changes in colour or scent). Only after a successful test do we recommend proceeding to filling the full volume of packaging.
