Aluminium Bottle 50 ml, Golden Pump

The aluminium bottle with a gold pump combines unbreakable packaging that shields the contents from light with a pump that dispenses the same dose with every press. The 50 ml size suits face and hair serums, light emulsions, face oils or a travel-size body lotion. The contents are not exposed or scooped out with fingers during use, which you will appreciate especially with more expensive and light-sensitive formulations. The set is declared suitable for contact with cosmetic products.

What the set is suited for

The pump dispenses the contents as a stream, not a spray, and works best with liquids of low to medium viscosity. Very thin products flow easily, but may still drip from the opening after pressing. Thick creams and balms are drawn up by the pump with difficulty or not at all.

• Serums and fluids – both water-based and oil-based, where a precise dose and protection from light are valued.
• Face and hair oils – one press corresponds approximately to the amount for one application, so no more than that is poured out of the bottle.
• Light creams and lotions – body or face lotion in a travel format, and emulsions that can still be pushed through a pump.
• Cleansing gels and liquid masks – as long as they stay liquid, the pump measures them out evenly.

The bottle and pump together

The silver aluminium bottle is lightweight and does not break when dropped. However, a strong squeeze or impact may leave a dent that cannot be straightened out. The black and gold pump has a plastic body and a metal finish. It fits the bottle with a 24/410 thread, so it screws on without an adapter and seals on the neck.

One press dispenses approximately 1 ml. With thicker products the dose may be smaller, so when dosing active ingredients we recommend weighing the actual amount.

The nominal volume of the bottle is the volume the packaging is designed for under normal filling. The total brimful volume stated in the parameters is the physical volume up to the neck. The difference between them is a reserve for the tube and pump body and for the expansion of the contents with temperature changes. Fill to the nominal volume, not to the brim, otherwise part of the contents will be pushed out when the pump is screwed on.

Good to know

Before first filling, wash the bottle and pump, disinfect them with isopropyl alcohol or ethanol and let them dry completely. Pump through several doses of disinfectant solution and then clean water, so that the tube and valve are cleaned as well.

The set can be used repeatedly. When changing the contents, rinse the bottle with warm water, flush the pump, dry both parts and disinfect them again. Oil residues in the tube and valve are harder to remove. When switching from an oil product to a water-based one, therefore, expect more thorough cleaning or a new pump.

Test the pump before travelling. If it can be pressed freely, transport the bottle in a sealable bag.
