Can I use this aluminium bottle with sprayer repeatedly?

Yes, the packaging can be reused with a suitable type of fill, provided that you follow basic hygiene principles. Before each new filling, it is necessary to thoroughly clean the bottle and the trigger sprayer and then disinfect them with a suitable agent, for example isopropyl alcohol or ethanol. For disinfection you can use the products IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol or Ethanol 96 % denatured plant-based. Only after all parts of the packaging are completely dry do we recommend refilling the container.

How should I properly clean the trigger sprayer so that the dosing remains functional?

When cleaning the trigger sprayer, it is advisable first to dismantle the packaging into the bottle and the sprayer mechanism. Rinse the bottle with warm water and a gentle cleaning agent and then with clean water. Rinse the sprayer by actuating several sprays of clean water so that the internal channel is freed from residues of the original fill. After rinsing, you can use a suitable alcoholic solution for disinfection and spray through several more times. It is important to let all parts dry completely to prevent dilution of the new fill and deterioration of the spraying function.

Is this aluminium bottle suitable for storing preparations with a high content of essential oils or alcohol?

The suitability of the packaging for a specific formulation always depends on the composition of the product and the length of its storage. The aluminium bottle in combination with the trigger sprayer is generally intended for various aqueous or low-viscosity solutions, but with a higher content of essential oils or alcohol we recommend carrying out your own compatibility test. First fill a smaller quantity, monitor the behaviour of the packaging (sealing, functionality of the sprayer, any changes in the material) and only after verifying suitability use the packaging for long-term storage.

How can I safely dispose of or recycle this bottle once it has reached the end of its life?

If you decide not to use the packaging any further, we recommend recycling it in accordance with local waste-sorting rules according to the material specified in the product parameters. The aluminium body of the bottle is typically classified as metal packaging after thorough emptying and possible rinsing. The mechanism of the trigger sprayer is made up of a mixture of plastic parts and spring elements and therefore usually cannot be recycled together with metal – it is recommended to sort it according to local instructions for composite packaging or place it in mixed waste if separation is not possible. Before handing it over for recycling, it is always advisable to check the current recommendations of your collection system.
