Yes, the packaging can be reused if hygiene principles are observed. Before each new filling, the bottle and the pump must be thoroughly cleaned and then disinfected with a suitable alcohol preparation, for example IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol or ethanol 96 % denatured plant‑based. In this way you reduce the risk of microbial contamination and ensure the best possible conditions for your products.

How to clean and prepare the bottle correctly for new filling?

First remove any residues of the original product, rinse the bottle and the pump with a suitable cleaning solution and rinse thoroughly with water. After drying, we recommend disinfecting the internal surfaces, as well as the thread and dispensing mechanism, with alcohol (ALK001 / ALK002 – available for example as IPA 99 % or ethanol 96 % in the Handymade range). After the alcohol has evaporated, you can safely refill the packaging.

How to safely dispose of and recycle this aluminium bottle with pump if I do not wish to use it further?

If you decide not to reuse the packaging, we recommend recycling it responsibly in accordance with the information given in the parameter table for the product on the Handymade website. First empty any remaining product from the bottle, separate the bottle and the pump and make sure they are visually clean. Then dispose of the metal packaging and the plastic parts of the dispenser into the appropriate sorted‑waste containers according to the locally applicable waste‑sorting rules.
