The aluminium bottle is a practical and professional packaging solution suitable for carefully prepared formulations where protection of the contents and convenient handling are important. Thanks to its compact shape, the bottle sits well in the hand, is easy to fill and facilitates dosing of liquid as well as slightly viscous products. The smooth aluminium surface is ideal for subsequent labelling or printing, allowing you to create a consistent visual identity for your brand.
Aluminium bottles are compatible with various types of closures and dosing systems – for example screw caps, droppers, spray pumps or practical applicators, according to the parameters selected for the product. Combinations of containers and closures created directly on Handymade are tested and functional. However, for all combinations we recommend always carrying out your own compatibility test (seal integrity, dosing and behaviour of the container in contact with the specific formulation).
All technical parameters of the packaging are specified in the attached Packaging Quality Certificate and in the product parameters.
The aluminium bottle can be reused provided that you follow proper hygiene practices. Before each new filling, the container must be thoroughly cleaned and then disinfected with a suitable product, for example using isopropyl alcohol or denatured ethanol of plant origin. This reduces the risk of microbial contamination and extends the stability of your products.
After emptying the bottle, we recommend rinsing the container with a suitable cleaning solution or warm water with detergent, then rinsing thoroughly with clean water and allowing it to dry completely. Next, disinfect the interior surface and the neck with an alcohol-based product (for example IPA 99 % or 96 % denatured ethanol). Before refilling, make sure there are no residues of the previous formulation or water left in the container.
If you decide not to reuse the container, we recommend recycling it according to the material specified in the product parameters. Before placing it in sorted waste collection, empty the bottle, remove any product residues and, according to local sorting rules, place it in the container designated for metal packaging (or another fraction according to the material designation in the parameter table). Sort the closure separately according to its material. By following these steps, you support efficient recycling and reduction of waste volume.
The aluminium bottle is particularly suitable for liquid and mildly viscous products such as toners, facial and body lotions, hair lotions, oil blends or aromatherapeutic compositions. Thanks to the opaque material, it is suitable for formulations that are more sensitive to light and require additional protection during storage and use. For specific or more aggressive formulations, we recommend carrying out your own compatibility test with the container.
To make it easier to choose packaging, you can use the advanced filter, which you can find at the top of the page after clicking on the selected packaging material category. In the filter, you can clearly set the required parameters such as neck type, pack size, colour and material. In this way, you can quickly narrow down the selection to the containers that are most suitable for your specific product and intended dosing method.
Before launching the product on the market, we recommend carrying out your own compatibility test: fill a small amount of the formulation into the bottle, combine it with the selected closure or dispenser and observe its behaviour over several days to weeks. Check the seal integrity, dosing performance, any changes in fragrance, colour or consistency, as well as any signs of corrosion or surface changes. This way, you can verify that the chosen combination of container and formulation is stable and suitable for long-term use.
