Boston‑type glass bottles are compatible with various types of closures and dosing systems (for example screw caps, droppers, spray heads or practical applicators) according to the selected parameters. However, for all combinations we always recommend carrying out your own compatibility test (sealing, dosing and behaviour of the packaging in contact with the specific formulation), so that you can be sure of reliable performance in real use.

Yes, the glass pharmaceutical bottle can be reused if hygiene principles are observed. Before each new filling, however, the packaging must be thoroughly cleaned and then disinfected with a suitable disinfectant, for example using IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol or ethanol 96 % denatured plant‑based. When reusing, we also recommend checking the condition of the thread and the sealing of the selected closure to ensure reliable closing and dosing.
Before first use or refilling, we recommend first rinsing the bottle with warm water and a mild cleaning agent, then rinsing thoroughly with clean water and allowing it to dry completely. After drying, it is advisable to disinfect both the inner and outer surfaces with an alcohol‑based disinfectant (for example IPA 99 % or ethanol 96 % denatured plant‑based). Only after the alcohol has completely evaporated and cleanliness has been checked is the bottle ready for a new filling with your product.
When choosing a closure or dispenser, it is important to consider the type of product (oil, serum, tonic, technical liquid) and the desired method of application (dropping, spraying, pouring). On the product page you will find closures, droppers and other accessories offered directly for this bottle and tested for mutual compatibility. Even so, we always recommend carrying out a trial filling and checking the tightness, dosing speed and behaviour of the specific formulation in contact with both the closure and the packaging.
If you decide not to reuse the packaging, we recommend recycling it according to the material specified in the product parameters. Empty the glass part, remove any product residues and labels as far as possible and sort the packaging into the container intended for glass. Closures, droppers or spray heads that may be made of another material should be sorted separately according to the markings on the individual components. By following the recycling recommendations, you contribute to a more careful handling of packaging materials.
