The brown glass vial is a professional packaging suitable for precise dosing of liquid and partially viscous formulations. The brown glass helps to protect the sensitive contents from light, making the bottle ideal for products containing botanical extracts, oils and other active ingredients. In combination with the glossy dispenser with a transparent top, the packaging looks aesthetic, clean and professional, so it is suitable for home as well as semi-professional cosmetic brands.
Brown glass naturally helps to reduce light penetration to the contents, which supports the stability of many light-sensitive cosmetic components such as botanical extracts or certain oils. For very sensitive formulations, however, we recommend combining the packaging with appropriate storage (a cooler, darker place) and continuously monitoring the stability of the finished product within your own tests.
The packaging can be reused if basic hygiene rules are followed. Before each new filling, the bottle and the dispenser must be thoroughly cleaned and then disinfected with a suitable alcohol, for example with the products IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol or Ethanol 96 % denatured plant-based. This reduces the risk of microbial contamination and of affecting the stability of the new formulation by residues of the previous contents.
Before filling, the packaging should be clean and disinfected, ideally dried without any water residues. It is recommended to work with a funnel or a suitable dosing syringe to minimize contamination of the neck and outer walls. After filling the bottle, leave the upper part of the neck dry and only then fit the dispenser and screw it on tightly. For the first use, it is advisable to test the dosing on a small sample to verify the comfort and consistency of the product output.
If you decide not to reuse the packaging, we recommend recycling it according to the material composition specified in the product parameters. The glass part of the bottle can usually be placed, after emptying and basic cleaning, into a container intended for glass, while the plastic dispenser and any metal parts must be sorted according to local rules for the collection of plastics and metals. Before recycling, remove any product residues to facilitate further processing of the material in the recycling process.
The simplest way is to use the advanced filter, which you will find at the top of the page after clicking on a specific packaging category. Using the filter, you can narrow down the selection according to parameters such as neck type, size, colour or packaging material. By combining these criteria, you can choose a bottle, vial or jar that best matches the consistency, dosing method and visual style of your product.
Due to its volume and dosing type, the vial is suitable for both uses. You can use it in the development of new formulas in smaller test series, where it is necessary to monitor the stability and behaviour of the product in the real packaging, but at the same time it looks sufficiently representative for final, retail-ready packs. Thanks to the dark glass, it is particularly suitable for formulations to which you want to provide a higher level of protection from light already in the testing phase.
