The glass vial with roll-on applicator is a practical packaging for precise application of liquid cosmetic preparations directly onto the skin. Thanks to the roll-on system, it enables hygienic application without the fingers coming into contact with the contents and it minimizes product consumption. High-quality glass is a stable packaging material that is suitable for filling various liquid formulations that require purity and a longer shelf life.
This compact bottle is popular for the production of natural cosmetics, aromatherapeutic blends and travel-size products. The roll-on ball ensures even dosing on smaller areas of the skin and makes this packaging a suitable choice for products that require targeted, controlled application without unnecessary waste.
Individual glass bottles with a roll-on system are offered on Handymade as a packaging solution that is compatible with various types of closures and dosing systems according to the parameters selected in the product details. Within the range you will find, for example, screw caps, roll-on balls and other practical applicators designed for a specific neck and type of bottle.
The packaging and closure combinations that are created directly on Handymade are tested and functional. However, for all combinations we always recommend carrying out your own compatibility test – checking the sealing, the dosing method, the behaviour of the packaging in contact with the specific formulation and the stability during long-term storage.
All technical parameters of the packaging are given in the attached packaging quality certificate and in the product parameters.
The glass bottle with roll-on applicator is suitable for most oil-based cosmetic preparations, such as facial, body or perfume oils. Before final use, we recommend performing your own compatibility test in order to verify the smooth movement of the roll-on ball, correct dosing and the long-term behaviour of your specific formula in contact with the packaging.
The packaging can be reused if basic hygiene principles are observed. Before each new filling, the bottle, the roll-on insert and the closure must be thoroughly washed, mechanically freed from product residues and then disinfected with a suitable alcohol-based preparation. For this purpose you can use, for example, isopropyl alcohol IPA 99 % – isopropyl alcohol or ethanol 96 % denatured, plant-based. After disinfection, allow all parts of the packaging to dry completely and only then refill them.
If you decide not to reuse the packaging, we recommend recycling it responsibly according to the material indicated in the parameter table for the product. The glass part of the bottle usually belongs in the glass container after removing any product residues. Plastic or metal components of the roll-on insert and closure should be placed in the appropriate collection container according to their material designation. Always follow local waste sorting rules and the information given for the specific packaging on the Handymade website.
The glass packaging is generally also suitable for water-based or alcohol-based cosmetic solutions, but it is necessary to verify compatibility with the plastic parts of the roll-on insert and the closure. For formulations with a higher proportion of alcohol or active substances, we recommend preparing a smaller test batch, monitoring the sealing, the movement of the ball and any changes to the plastic parts over time.
To choose the right packaging, you can use the advanced filter, which is located at the top of the page after clicking on a specific packaging category. In the advanced filter you can easily set the required parameters, such as neck type, size, colour or packaging material. Thanks to this, you will quickly find bottles, vials, jars or other containers that best correspond to your formulation and the intended method of dosing.
