Ready-made kit for small volumes of liquid products: an amber glass dropper bottle with a nominal volume of 10 ml, a long plastic dropper insert fitted into the neck, and a white ribbed cap with a safety lock. Particularly suited for contents that quickly lose quality when exposed to light – essential oils, fragrance blends, oil serums, active ingredient concentrates, botanical tinctures, or testing samples. The dropper dispenses the contents drop by drop, which is practical wherever small and precise amounts are needed.

The kit as a whole is declared as suitable for contact with cosmetic products. Only the glass bottle individually holds a certificate for direct food contact; the kit with the dropper and cap is intended for cosmetics.

What the kit is suitable for

Works best with liquid contents of low to medium viscosity: essential and fragrance oils, light carrier oils, oil serums, alcohol-based tinctures, active ingredient concentrates for creams and serums, fragrance blends for diffusers. Thick products (gels, serums with a higher proportion of thickener) flow through the dropper slowly or not at all. For these, a bottle with a pump or alternative closure is more suitable.

The bottle can also be filled with water-based contents, such as a hydrolat or toner in a small pack. With a water-based product, however, preservation needs to be considered, as well as the fact that the dropper dispenses more slowly than customers typically expect from a water-based product.

Nominal and total volume

Nominal volume is the volume for which the container is designed under normal filling conditions. Total volume to the brim is the physical capacity of the dropper bottle up to the neck. The difference between them is the allowance for the dropper, which when inserted occupies part of the neck, and for expansion of the contents with temperature changes. The bottle is therefore filled to the nominal volume, not to the brim. Otherwise, inserting the dropper will force the contents out and the cap will not seal properly.

Insert the dropper into the neck after filling, applying even pressure with your thumb until it seats firmly in the neck. Then fit the cap and tighten it. Verify the seal by turning the bottle upside down on a clean cloth.

What's good to know

Preparation before first filling – wash the bottle, rinse it, disinfect it with isopropyl alcohol or ethanol and allow it to dry completely. Residual water in the neck would dilute the contents and cause cloudiness in oils.
Plastic parts and concentrated contents – both the dropper and the cap are made of plastic. With undiluted essential oils, solvents or products with a high alcohol content, we recommend testing the behaviour of the plastic with the specific formulation before a larger batch (softening, discolouration, seal integrity).
Reuse – the glass bottle can be used repeatedly after washing and disinfection. For a new fill, we recommend a new dropper; a dropper that has been inserted may deform when pulled out and stop sealing properly.
Glass and heat – the bottle can withstand warm filling, but not sudden thermal shock. Do not pour hot contents into cold glass and fill only after cooling to a temperature that the plastic dropper can also tolerate.
Label – given the small diameter of the bottle, plan for a narrow label or a hang tag.
Closures – closures with the same neck type (listed in the specifications) and other ready-made combinations are available in the Handymade range. For a custom combination, we recommend verifying seal integrity and dispensing performance with the specific formulation.
Recycling – glass goes into the glass recycling stream; the dropper and cap are plastic and should be separated from the bottle before disposal.

The safety lock on the cap is not a substitute for storing the product out of reach of children. Standard safety labelling and storage requirements apply to products containing essential oils regardless of the closure type.

Does the amber glass dropper bottle 10 ml protect the contents from light?

Yes, amber glass reduces light exposure to the contents and slows oxidation. It is not a complete barrier – the bottle should still be stored away from direct sunlight. Can the glass dropper bottle be reused?

The glass bottle yes. After washing, disinfecting with ethanol or isopropyl alcohol, and drying completely, it can be refilled and does not retain the scent of the previous contents. We recommend replacing the dropper with a new one for each refill, as it may deform when pulled from the neck and stop sealing properly. The cap can be washed and reused.
