Yes, the packaging can be reused if basic hygiene rules are observed. Before each refilling, both the bottle and the cap must be thoroughly cleaned and then disinfected with a suitable alcohol-based preparation, for example IPA 99% isopropyl alcohol or 96% denatured plant ethanol. This minimises the risk of microbial contamination and any impact on the stability of the new formulation.

Is this bottle suitable for products with a higher content of active ingredients or alcohol?

Glass is generally a very stable and inert material, which performs well even with formulations containing higher levels of active ingredients or alcohol. Nevertheless, for each new formula we recommend performing a small storage test to verify the long-term compatibility of the specific composition with the packaging and closure, especially in the case of atypical or highly concentrated ingredients.

How should the glass bottle and ribbed child-resistant cap be properly cleaned before reuse?

We recommend first rinsing the bottle with a suitable cleaning agent, then rinsing thoroughly with water and allowing it to dry completely. After drying, the packaging must be disinfected before filling – ideally using isopropyl alcohol or plant-based ethanol, which evaporate quickly and do not leave an undesirable film. When cleaning the safety cap, take care to rinse the thread and internal parts thoroughly so that no residues of the original product remain.

How can I safely dispose of and recycle the glass medicine bottle if I no longer want to use it?

If you decide not to reuse the packaging, we recommend recycling it in accordance with local waste-sorting rules. Yes, the ribbed child-resistant cap is also suitable for preparations that are used several times a day. The safety feature increases security during storage and transport, but once you are familiar with how to open it, it allows comfortable and quick handling. For frequent use, we recommend regularly checking the seal and the thread to maintain optimal protection of the contents against leakage and contamination.
