Glass bottle – medicine bottle with white ribbed child-resistant cap represents a reliable and professional packaging for various liquid preparations where precise application, secure closure and protection of the contents are important. Thanks to the high-quality glass and the practical cap with safety mechanism, this packaging is suitable for filling products that are sensitive to external influences and for preparations where it is necessary to reduce the risk of unintentional opening. Glass is a stable and proven material for cosmetic and galenic formulations that helps maintain the long-term quality, fragrance and appearance of the filled product.
The glass medicine bottle itself is compatible with various types of closures and dispensing systems according to the selected parameters, such as screw caps, droppers, spray pumps or practical applicators. Combinations of packaging and closures created directly on Handymade are tested and functional. However, for all combinations we recommend always performing your own compatibility test – verify sealing, dosage and the behaviour of the packaging in contact with the specific formulation, especially for product ranges containing acids, alcohols or essential oils.
All technical parameters of the packaging are listed in the enclosed Packaging Quality Certificate and in the product parameters.
Yes, the glass medicine bottle can be used repeatedly if hygiene principles are observed. Before each new filling, the packaging must be thoroughly cleaned and disinfected in order to minimize the risk of microbial contamination and unwanted reactions with the new filling. For disinfection we recommend using a suitable alcohol-based preparation, for example isopropyl alcohol or ethanol, which are also available in our range. After disinfection, allow the bottle and cap to dry completely at room temperature and only then proceed to refill.
We recommend first cleaning the bottle and cap mechanically (rinsing with a suitable cleaning agent and thoroughly rinsing with water) and then disinfecting them with alcohol. Products based on high-percentage alcohol, for example IPA 99 % or denatured ethanol, are suitable. Spread the disinfectant solution over the inner surface of the bottle, leave it to act for a short time and allow the excess to evaporate freely. Before refilling, make sure that no residues of cleaning and disinfecting agents remain in the packaging and that it is completely dry.
If you decide not to use the bottle further, we recommend recycling it according to the material composition specified in the product parameters. After rinsing and removing product residues, the glass part of the packaging is usually sorted into the container designated for glass. The cap, which may be made of plastic or composite material, should be separated and sorted according to local waste sorting rules. Always follow the symbols and material markings given with the product so that recycling is as efficient and responsible as possible.
Glass is generally a very stable material suitable for formulations containing essential oils or alcohols, which is why glass medicine bottles are often used for concentrated solutions and aromatic blends as well. However, we always recommend performing your own compatibility test of the specific product – first fill a smaller test amount, monitor the behaviour of the packaging during storage, the sealing of the cap and the stability of the fragrance and colour. In this way you verify that the combination of your product and the chosen packaging is functional in the long term.
To select suitable packaging, we recommend using the advanced filter located at the top of the page after clicking on the relevant packaging category. In the filter you can set the parameters that are important for your product – for example the neck type, packaging size, colour or material. By combining these criteria, you quickly narrow down the range to packaging that meets your requirements and thus more easily find a bottle, medicine bottle or jar suitable for the specific cosmetic or galenic formulation.
