A ready-to-use set consisting of a square brown glass bottle with a capacity of 90 ml and a matte black dropper for precise drop-by-drop dispensing of liquid cosmetics. Suitable wherever protecting the contents from light and dispensing cleanly without finger contact with the product matters. The bottle and dropper share the same neck type, so the set does not need to be assembled from individual parts. Just wash and let it dry before filling.

Brown glass is advantageous for facial oils, oil serums, tinctures, and products containing essential oils or sensitive active ingredients. The matte black dropper with a silver rim complements the dark glass and has a discreet appearance, making it suitable for a uniform product line as well as gift packaging.

Why the set is practical

• Light protection – brown glass limits light exposure to the contents, slowing the degradation of oxidation-sensitive oils, vitamins, and fragrance components.
• Drop-by-drop dispensing – the glass tube with a silicone bulb allows you to take exactly as much product as needed, without spilling and without finger contact with the contents.
• Chemically resistant glass – glass does not react with oils, essential oils, or alcohol-based solutions and does not absorb fragrance.
• Volume for a standard usage cycle – 90 ml corresponds to a facial oil or serum for several weeks of use, which is important for products without preservation or with a short period after opening.
• Square shape – flat sides stand firmly and are suitable for a rectangular label, which does not wrinkle on them.

What the set is suitable for

It works best with products of low to medium viscosity that are dispensed by drops. These include facial oils and oil serums, beard and hair oils, cuticle oils, herbal oil infusions, tinctures and alcohol-based solutions, or water-based serums with a gel-like texture, provided they are fluid enough to be drawn into the dropper.

It is less suitable for thick creams, butters, and high-viscosity gels, which cannot be drawn into the dropper or flow from it slowly and irregularly. For such textures, a jar or a pump bottle is a better choice.

The set is declared as suitable for contact with cosmetic products. The declaration of conformity and technical documentation are available with the product. This set is not approved for contact with food, so it is not suitable for homemade oils, syrups, or other food products.

Nominal and total volume

The bottle is associated with two volume values, and it is worth not confusing them. The nominal volume is the volume for which the container is intended at standard filling and which is stated on the label of the finished product. The total volume to the brim is the physical volume of the bottle up to the neck. The difference between them is the headspace taken up by the submerged glass tube of the dropper, as well as room for the contents to expand when the temperature changes. The bottle should therefore be filled to the nominal volume, not to the brim. If overfilled, screwing on the dropper will push the contents out through the neck and contaminate the thread, which compromises the seal.

Working with the dropper

The dropper consists of a threaded plastic cap, a silicone bulb, an aluminium rim, and a glass tube. The dropper thread matches the bottle neck, so the set seals without additional parts. To dispense, squeeze the bulb, submerge the tube in the product, and release the bulb. The product is drawn up and the drops are then released by gentle pressure.

Silicone and PP are resistant to vegetable oils. For products with a high proportion of essential oils or strongly alcoholic tinctures, we recommend checking the behaviour of the bulb and seal over time, as some components may gradually soften plastic and flexible parts. The dropper is not suitable for thick textures or products with insoluble particles that could clog the tube.

Good to know

• Preparation before filling – we recommend washing the bottle and dropper with warm water before first use, disinfecting with isopropyl alcohol or ethanol, and allowing to dry completely. Residual water in an oil-based product is a risk to microbiological stability.
• Reuse – glass can be washed and reused without restriction. Check the dropper: if the bulb has lost elasticity or residue is building up on the tube, replace it.
• Glass and heat – do not fill the bottle with hot content and do not expose it to sudden temperature changes, as cracking may occur. Allow the product to cool to room temperature.
• The matte dropper can be supplemented with a label on the cap or left unmarked.
• Other closures – the bottle can also be combined with other closures with the same neck type from the Handymade range. With a custom combination, we recommend verifying the seal and dispensing performance with the specific formulation.
• Recycling – the bottle goes in the glass bin. The dropper is a combination of plastic, silicone, aluminium, and glass and should be sorted according to local rules for mixed materials.
