The medical-type glass bottle is a professional packaging suitable for pharmaceutical, cosmetic and technical formulations where an accurate dose, stability and long-term protection of the contents are important. The flat shape of the medicine bottle makes storage, handling and labelling easier, and the high-quality glass ensures that the packaged product does not come into direct contact with reactive plastics. In combination with a suitable closure, the bottle is ready for filling with liquid preparations, serums, tinctures, solutions or laboratory samples.
The glass bottle is also suitable for formulations containing alcohol or essential oils, because glass is a chemically stable material. However, with a high proportion of alcohol or intense aromatic components we recommend testing the selected combination of packaging and closure to verify the tightness of the thread and the compatibility of the seal during long-term storage.
Yes, the bottle can be used repeatedly if hygiene principles are observed. Before each new filling, the packaging must be thoroughly cleaned and then disinfected, for example using isopropyl alcohol or ethanol. For disinfection you can use the products IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol or ethanol 96 % denatured, plant-based. This will reduce the risk of microbial contamination and of affecting the stability of the new product batch.
Before first use and before refilling, we recommend rinsing the bottle with a suitable cleaning agent, rinsing thoroughly with drinking water and then rinsing with demineralised or distilled water to minimise mineral residues. After drying, the packaging must be disinfected with alcohol (for example IPA 99 or ethanol 96) and allowed to evaporate. Only then is the bottle ready for filling with the final product.
If you decide not to reuse the packaging, it is advisable to recycle it responsibly. The glass part can generally be placed in the container designated for glass according to local recycling rules. The closure and any plastic components must be separated and sorted according to the material specified in the parameter table for the product on the Handymade.sk website. Before recycling, it is advisable to rinse the bottle to remove product residues, in order to facilitate the subsequent processing step.
