The medical-type glass bottle represents a professional packaging solution suitable for filling various liquid and partially viscous preparations where an accurate dose, long-term stability and a professional appearance of the product are important. High-quality glass is a stable, chemically resistant material that minimizes interactions with the contents and helps preserve their properties throughout the entire period of use. In combination with a properly selected closure or dispensing element, this bottle can provide safe, hygienic and practical packaging for home-made formulations as well as small-scale production.
The standalone glass bottle is compatible with various types of closures and dispensing systems according to the selected parameters in the Handymade.sk range. You can combine it with screw caps, dropper caps, pipette droppers, spray pumps or practical applicators for precise and hygienic product application.
The combinations of packaging and closures that are created directly on Handymade are tested and functional. However, for all combinations we always recommend performing your own compatibility test – in particular to verify sealing, dosing and the behaviour of the packaging in contact with the specific formulation (viscosity, alcohol content, oily/watery base, etc.).
All technical parameters of the packaging are specified in the attached Packaging Quality Certificate and in the product parameters.
The glass medicine bottle is ideal mainly for thin to medium-viscosity liquids such as toners, aqueous solutions, oil blends or extracts. For thicker products (for example gels or creamier emulsions), we recommend choosing a combination with a suitable dispensing element or considering another type of packaging that enables comfortable extrusion of the contents. When choosing, always take into account the consistency of the specific product and the method of application.
Yes, the glass packaging can be safely reused if hygiene principles are observed. Before each new filling, the bottle must be thoroughly cleaned and then disinfected with a suitable agent, for example using isopropyl alcohol IPA 99 % or plant-based ethanol Ethanol 96 % denatured. In this way, you minimize the risk of microbial contamination and any impact on the stability of the new batch of product.
Before first use, we recommend rinsing the bottle in warm water with a suitable mild cleaning agent, then rinsing it thoroughly with clean water and allowing it to dry completely. After drying, it is advisable to disinfect the inner surface with disinfectant alcohol (e.g. IPA 99 % or Ethanol 96 % denatured) and again allow it to air out and dry. Only then is the packaging ready for safe filling with the final product.
If you decide not to reuse the packaging, we recommend recycling it in accordance with standard waste-sorting rules. Dispose of the glass bottle, free of product residues, in a container designated for glass. Sort the closure and any dispensing components made of other materials separately, according to the markings indicated in the product parameters (for example into plastic or metal waste). By following these principles, you support efficient material recycling and reduce the amount of mixed waste.
