Glass bottle with 28 mm neck represents a professional solution for packaging liquid and dropwise preparations where protection of the formulation and reliable dosing are important. The dark glass naturally helps protect sensitive substances from light, which makes the packaging a popular choice for products containing plant extracts, oils or active substances prone to degradation.
This compact little bottle is suitable for both cosmetic and technical formulations where precise handling, hygienic use and aesthetic packaging are required. High-quality glass ensures chemical stability, minimal interaction with the contents and a professional appearance of the final product.
Glass bottles with this type of neck are compatible with various types of closures and dosing systems (for example screw caps, droppers, spray heads or practical applicators) according to the parameters selected at purchase. Combinations of containers and closures that are created directly on Handymade are tested and functional. However, for all combinations we always recommend carrying out your own compatibility test (sealing, dosing and behaviour of the packaging in contact with the specific formulation).

Yes, the glass bottle can be used repeatedly if hygiene rules are followed. Before each new filling, the packaging must be thoroughly cleaned and then disinfected with a suitable alcohol-based preparation, for example IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol or ethanol 96 % denatured, plant-based. This reduces the risk of microbial contamination and of affecting the stability of the new fill.
Before re-use, we recommend rinsing the bottle with a residual product-compatible solvent (for example oil in the case of oil-based formulations), then washing it with warm water and a suitable cleaning agent, rinsing well and allowing it to dry. After drying, it is advisable to disinfect the inner surface with alcohol, for example with the products IPA 99 % or ethanol 96 %. Before filling, make sure that no residues of cleaning agents or water remain in the packaging.
If you decide not to use the packaging any further, we recommend placing it into separated collection according to the material indicated in the product parameters. After removing any product residues and separating the cap, the glass bottle is normally placed in the container designated for glass. The cap or dispensing component must be sorted separately according to the material used (for example plastic or metal). By following the recommended sorting, you support efficient recycling of the packaging material.
Glass is generally a stable packaging material that is suitable for most cosmetic and technical formulations, including concentrated solutions or extracts. For specific blends (for example a high proportion of essential oils or very acidic or alkaline preparations) we recommend performing your own compatibility test – fill a smaller volume of product, observe the packaging and the contents over a certain period and check whether any changes in appearance, odour or closure sealing occur.
