Glass bottle – medicine bottle with screw cap represents a professional packaging suitable for various liquid and partially viscous formulations. Clear glass allows visual inspection of the contents, which facilitates dosing as well as control of the colour and purity of the preparation. This type of packaging is popular in the segment of artisan cosmetics, dietary supplements and aromatherapy, where the combination of an aesthetic appearance, reliable sealing and practical handling is important.
Thanks to high-quality glass, the bottle is suitable for packing products that must remain stable throughout the entire period of use. With a properly selected closure, it enables safe and controlled dosing of drops, small volumes or measured portions. The bottle – medicine bottle is designed to work well with compatible closures and dropper or dosing systems, which makes it versatile in the production of home-made and small-scale products.
Glass bottles – medicine bottles are compatible with various types of closures and dosing systems (for example screw caps, droppers, sprayers or practical applicators) according to the parameters selected at purchase. Combinations of packaging and closures that are created directly on Handymade are tested and functional. However, for all combinations we always recommend performing your own compatibility test – to verify sealing, accuracy and comfort of dosing and the behaviour of the packaging in contact with the specific formulation (especially for products containing alcohol, essential oils or active ingredients).

The glass medicine bottle is very suitable for packing cosmetic oils, aromatherapeutic blends and other oily or liquid formulations. Glass has good chemical resistance and, with a properly selected closure or dropper, allows precise dosing of small volumes. Before filling, we always recommend carrying out a trial filling with your specific formulation in order to verify the compatibility of the contents with the packaging and the selected type of closure.
The glass bottle can be reused provided that strict hygiene principles are observed. Before each new filling, the packaging must be thoroughly cleaned of residues of the previous product and then disinfected. For disinfection we recommend using isopropyl alcohol or ethanol, which you can find in our range as IPA 99% isopropyl alcohol and Ethanol 96% denatured plant-based. After thorough drying, you can safely fill the bottle again with a new product.
Before filling, we recommend mechanically rinsing the bottle with warm water and detergent, rinsing it thoroughly with clean water and allowing it to dry completely. Subsequently, disinfection with a suitable alcohol is advisable – for example by spraying or rinsing with the preparations IPA 99% isopropyl alcohol or Ethanol 96% denatured plant-based. After the alcohol has evaporated and the inner surface has dried, the packaging is ready for filling. Such a procedure helps to minimise the risk of microbial contamination and prolongs the shelf life of the product.
If you decide not to reuse the packaging, we recommend recycling it in accordance with local waste sorting rules and the information given in the product parameters. The glass part of the bottle can usually be placed in the container designated for sorted glass waste. The closure (for example plastic or composite material) should be sorted according to the material type, in line with the labelling in the product parameter table and the rules of your collection system. Before recycling, it is advisable to rinse the packaging to remove any remaining contents in order to facilitate its processing.
