The glass dropper bottle is a professional packaging solution suitable for precise dosing as well as long-term storage of more sensitive liquid preparations. Thanks to the high-quality glass, it is ideal for formulations where stability, purity and safe closure of the contents are important. The dark glass naturally helps protect sensitive components from the effects of light, which supports their longer shelf life and preservation of properties.
This universal medicine-type bottle is a reliable container for cosmetic, pharmaceutical and laboratory formulations, where controlled application and the possibility of combining with various types of closures and dispensing systems are crucial. It is particularly suitable wherever you need a stable, inert and easily recyclable package with a professional appearance.
The standalone glass bottles are compatible with different types of closures and dispensing options – for example screw caps, droppers, spray pumps or practical applicators, according to the parameters selected when ordering. The packaging and closure combinations created directly on Handymade are tested and functional. However, for all combinations we always recommend performing your own compatibility test (sealing, dosing and behaviour of the packaging in contact with the specific formulation), so that you can be sure the packaging fully meets the needs of your product.
All technical parameters of the packaging are listed in the attached Packaging Quality Certificate and in the product specifications.
Glass packaging is generally very stable and tolerates formulations containing alcohol, preservatives and mildly acidic solutions well. For every new formula, however, we recommend running your own test – fill a small quantity of the product, monitor the behaviour of the contents, the seal of the closure and any changes in odour or appearance during storage. In this way you can verify that the specific formulation is fully compatible with this type of packaging.
The packaging can be reused provided that basic hygiene principles are followed. Before each new filling, we recommend thoroughly cleaning the bottle, rinsing it and then disinfecting it with a suitable alcohol-based preparation, for example isopropyl alcohol IPA 99 % or plant-based ethanol Ethanol 96 % denatured. After disinfection, allow the packaging to dry completely at room temperature, ideally upside down on a clean, non-linting surface, to prevent residual moisture and contamination of the new product.
For liquid products where precise drop-by-drop dosing is important, droppers or inserts with a drop reducer are particularly suitable, as they allow controlled dispensing of the contents. For toners and sprays, spray pumps are practical, while for oils, dosing caps or pipettes are suitable. When choosing, we recommend considering the viscosity of the product, the intended method of application and the desired dosing speed, and then verifying in a smaller trial batch which type of closure suits you best.
We recommend storing filled bottles well closed, in a dry environment, away from direct sunlight and heat sources. Room temperature to slightly lower temperatures and minimal contact with moisture or contaminants benefit the stability of sensitive substances. At each use, avoid the dispensing element coming into contact with the skin or other surfaces, so that you do not introduce micro-contamination into the packaging, which could shorten the shelf life of the product.
If you decide not to use the packaging further, we recommend emptying it before disposal, giving it a basic rinse and then sorting it according to material. The glass body of the bottle belongs in a glass container, while the closure and any plastic or metal parts should be sorted separately according to local waste collection rules. Adhering to sorting principles is based on the material information given in the specifications of the specific product on the Handymade.sk website and enables the packaging to be effectively recycled and reprocessed.
To make selection easier, you can use the advanced filter located at the top of the page after clicking on the relevant packaging category. In the advanced filter, you can conveniently filter by neck type, size, colour and packaging material, allowing you to quickly narrow down the offer to only those bottles, medicine bottles or jars that match your formulation and the intended method of use.
