Glass bottle – dropper bottle with ribbed dispenser represents a professional solution for packaging liquid preparations where controlled application and reliable closure are important. The dark glass helps protect the more sensitive contents from external influences during storage and use. In combination with the ribbed dispenser, it enables more precise dosing and reduces the risk of contamination of the contents during handling.
The standalone glass bottle – dropper bottle is designed in the Handymade system so that it is compatible with various types of closures and dosing systems according to the selected parameters. It can be combined, for example, with screw caps, droppers, atomisers or practical applicators, depending on the specific use and product type. Combinations of packaging and closures that are created directly on Handymade are tested and functional. However, for all combinations we always recommend carrying out your own compatibility test (sealing, dosing and behaviour of the packaging in contact with the specific formulation).
All technical parameters of the packaging are listed in the enclosed Packaging Quality Certificate and in the product parameters.
Yes, the packaging can be reused if handled correctly and if hygiene principles are observed. Before each new filling, the bottle and the dispenser must be thoroughly cleaned and then disinfected with a suitable alcohol-based preparation, for example using isopropyl alcohol or ethanol. For disinfection we recommend the products IPA 99% isopropyl alcohol or Ethanol 96% denatured plant-based. Only after the alcohol has completely dried and ventilated is the packaging ready for refilling.
If you decide not to use the packaging any further, we recommend recycling it according to the type of material specified in the product parameters. The glass container is usually placed into the appropriate glass recycling bin after being emptied and basically cleaned, while plastic or composite closures may belong in the plastics bin or mixed waste according to local rules. Before recycling, it is advisable to remove any product residues, labels and to separate the individual parts of the packaging (glass, plastic, and possibly seals) so that recycling is as effective as possible.
From the material point of view, the glass packaging is a stable choice even for formulations with a strong fragrance or with essential oil content. The dark glass also helps to limit the effect of light on the contents. For very concentrated aromatic blends, we recommend first carrying out a small compatibility test to verify sealing, dosing and the behaviour of the packaging in contact with the specific composition, especially in the case of high concentrations of essential oils or acidic components.
During long-term use it is important to regularly check the cleanliness of the dispenser and its flawless functioning. We recommend preventing the build-up of product residues in the bottle neck and in the dosing orifice, or occasionally gently cleaning these areas and allowing them to dry thoroughly. If you change the contents to another type of preparation, always rinse the dispenser and the internal parts with a suitable cleaning solution, allow them to dry and then disinfect them with alcohol, in order to avoid microbial contamination and influence on the new contents.
To select suitable packaging you can use the advanced filter, which you will find at the top of the page after clicking on the relevant packaging category. In the advanced filter you can conveniently choose parameters such as neck type, size, colour or packaging material, and thus quickly narrow down the offer to variants suitable for your specific product and dosing method. We also recommend checking the recommended related products, where you will often find compatible closures, pumps or atomisers.
