The glass medicine bottle is a professional packaging solution suitable for precise dosing of cosmetic and magistral (prescription) blends. High-quality dark glass helps protect sensitive components from the effects of light and external influences, which makes the packaging suitable for liquid preparations as well as thicker serums. This packaging represents a combination of glass bottle and dispenser prepared for direct use without the need for additional components. Combinations of packaging and closures that are created directly on Handymade are tested and functional. However, for all combinations we always recommend performing your own compatibility test (sealing, dosing and behaviour of the packaging in contact with the specific formulation).

Yes, the glass medicine bottle with dispenser is suitable for filling oil serums, elixirs and concentrated cosmetic blends. Stable glass is resistant to common cosmetic oils and active substances, and the dispenser allows application of smaller amounts of product without excessive waste. Before the first filling we recommend performing a compatibility test with the specific formulation and verifying that the dosing corresponds to the intended mode of use.
The packaging can be reused if basic hygiene principles are followed. Before each new filling, the bottle and the dispenser must be cleaned as thoroughly as possible and then disinfected with a suitable alcohol, for example with the products IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol or ethanol 96 % denatured plant-based. Disinfection helps minimize the risk of microbial contamination and extends the stability of your cosmetic products.
Before reuse we recommend rinsing the bottle mechanically with a suitable cleaning agent, then thoroughly rinsing it with clean water and allowing it to dry completely. After thorough drying it is advisable to disinfect the inner surface and the dosing mechanism with alcohol, for example using the products IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol or ethanol 96 % denatured plant-based. Only after complete evaporation of the alcohol and checking cleanliness is the bottle ready for a new filling.
If you decide not to reuse the packaging, we recommend recycling it according to the material composition specified in the product parameters. The glass part of the bottle can usually be placed, after cleaning off product residues, in the appropriate collection container for glass. The dispenser and plastic components should be sorted according to the material indicated in the parameter table for the product on the Handymade website. Before handing over for recycling, it is advisable to empty the packaging and remove as much residual content as possible so that the sorting is efficient.
