The Black Pepper essential oil (Black Pepper) is obtained by steam distillation from the dried fruits of the plant Piper nigrum L. It has a pale green to yellow colour and a characteristic, warm spicy scent. It has antibacterial and antispasmodic effects, and it also helps to relieve pain. It has the ability to warm and stimulate the blood circulation of the skin, therefore it is also used in massage preparations to warm up stiff muscles and is excellent also for cellulite. It is often used as well in preparations for oral hygiene. We recommend combining it with: Bergamot, Common and Clary Sage, Clove, Coriander, Frankincense, Geranium, Ginger, Grapefruit, Lavender, Juniper, Lemon, Lime, Mandarin, Sandalwood and Ylang YlangAll supplied raw materials are of cosmetic grade, not suitable for internal use. Use appropriate protective equipment when handling.
WHAT ARE ESSENTIAL OILS?
Essential oils, also called ethereal oils, are natural aromatic substances that come from various parts of plants – stems, roots, seeds, flowers, leaves, etc. They give plants their characteristic fragrance and, in addition, they also have therapeutic and protective effects. They have a very positive effect on symptoms on the physical, emotional and mental level.
Their chemical composition is relatively complex. Essential oils are obtained from plants most often by distillation, extraction or pressing. Essential oils are highly concentrated and are used directly on the skin only after dilution with carrier vegetable oils (almond, apricot kernel, jojoba, etc.). The only exceptions are tea tree and lavender essential oils, which you can apply directly.
Use essential oils for inhalation or in your cosmetic products; we do not recommend the consumption of any essential oils of any brands.
Essential oils are fat-soluble, therefore if you want to use them in products without oils and butters, use a solvent /solubiliser/.
HOW CAN I USE THE ESSENTIAL OIL?
Manufacturing cosmetics and soaps – the required amount of essential oil depends on the specific formula and the quantity produced. Inhalation, steaming – drip a few drops of essential oil into an aroma lamp, diffuser or a vessel with hot water.Bath – mix the oil drops in a base oil /coconut, olive.../, in 1 dl of milk or in a teaspoon of honey, and pour this mixture into the bathtub. Essential oils on their own are not soluble in water, the drops would float on the surface.Massage – add a few drops of essential oil to a cold-pressed vegetable oil (approx. 50 ml) and mix well. Enjoy a pleasant massage.Sauna – you can choose from conifers, rosemary, eucalyptus, sage, mint or citrus fragrances. The number of drops depends on the size of the sauna and your taste.
Essential oils are also popular for use in skincare, local compresses, hair masks, in oral hygiene care...
