Transparent glass jar with white lid represents a practical and elegant packaging suitable for various types of cosmetic products and other special blends. The transparent glass allows for easy visual control of the contents, which is especially appreciated by creators of their own cosmetics and small‑batch products. Thanks to its high‑quality workmanship and reliable lid, the packaging is suitable for filling both thicker and more delicate formulations that require stable and hygienic storage.
This glass container is supplied with a lid that is adapted for reliable closure of the jar. Combinations of packaging and closures that are created directly at Handymade are tested and functional. However, for all combinations we always recommend performing your own compatibility test (sealing, dosing and behavior of the packaging in contact with the specific formulation), so that you can be sure that the packaging is optimally suited to the specific product.
All technical parameters of the packaging are given in the enclosed Packaging Quality Certificate and in the product specifications.
Yes, the glass jar can be reused if hygiene principles are followed. Before each new filling, the packaging must be thoroughly cleaned and then disinfected, ideally using a suitable alcohol, for example IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol or ethanol 96 % denatured plant‑based. This minimizes the risk of microbial contamination and degradation of the cosmetic product.
We recommend first mechanically cleaning the jar to remove product residues, then washing it with warm water and a suitable detergent and rinsing thoroughly. After drying, it is advisable to disinfect both the inner and outer surfaces with an alcohol‑based preparation, for example products available at Handymade, such as IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol or ethanol 96 % denatured plant‑based. Only after the alcohol has completely evaporated and the jar is fully dry may the packaging be refilled.
To select suitable packaging, we recommend using the advanced filter, which you can find at the top of the page after clicking on the relevant packaging material category. In the filter, you can sort packaging according to several parameters such as neck, size, colour or material. This allows you to easily narrow down the offer to containers that meet the technical and aesthetic requirements of your product.
The glass jar is suitable for a wide range of textures – from richer body butters, ointments and balms to lighter creams or gel formulations. Thanks to the wide opening, it allows for convenient scooping of the product with fingers or a spatula and also makes manual filling easier for home or artisan cosmetic production.
If you decide not to reuse the jar, we recommend recycling it in accordance with local waste‑sorting rules. The glass part of the packaging can usually, after cleaning, be sorted into a container designated for glass. The lid must be separated according to the material specified in the product specifications (for example into plastics or another corresponding fraction). Before placing it in the container, we recommend removing any product residues from the packaging so that recycling can proceed efficiently.
When filling, it is advisable to work in the cleanest environment possible and to use disinfected tools in order to minimize contamination of the product. After filling, it is important to close the jar tightly with the lid and store it in a dry place, away from direct sunlight and sources of heat. By following these principles, you support the stability of the texture, appearance and fragrance of the cosmetic formulation and extend its usability.
