FAQ – Frequently asked questions

How should the glass bottle be prepared for the first filling?

Before first use, we recommend thoroughly cleaning the bottle, rinsing it with drinking water and letting it dry in a clean environment. It is then appropriate to disinfect the inner surface and the closure with a suitable alcohol (for example IPA or ethanol) and let it fully air out. This minimizes the risk of microbial contamination and extends the stability of your product.

Can this bottle be safely used repeatedly?

Yes, the glass packaging can be used repeatedly if strict hygiene rules are followed. Before each new filling, it is necessary to thoroughly clean the bottle and the closure, check for mechanical damage and then disinfect them with a suitable alcohol. For disinfection we recommend the products IPA 99% isopropyl alcohol or ethanol 96% denatured, plant-based. Only after the alcohol has completely evaporated and the packaging has dried is it ready for reuse.

How should this glass bottle be properly recycled if I do not want to use it further?

If you decide not to reuse the packaging, we recommend recycling it according to the type of material indicated in the parameter table for the product. The glass bottle can generally be placed in the collection container intended for glass, and it is advisable to remove any product residues and separate any plastic or metal closure, which belongs in the corresponding sorted waste stream. By following the local waste-sorting rules, you support efficient recycling of the packaging material.

Are glass bottles also suitable for more sensitive formulations with a higher content of active ingredients?

From the point of view of material stability, glass is often the preferred choice for formulations with a higher proportion of active ingredients, aromatic components or alcohol. When developing your own product, however, we always recommend carrying out an internal stability test under real conditions of use and monitoring the behaviour of the contents over time. In the case of specific or highly reactive substances, it is appropriate to consult the compatibility of the packaging material with a technologist or raw-material supplier.
