Clear plastic jar with lid is a universal container suitable for various types of cosmetic as well as small food or craft products. The transparent material allows clear inspection of the contents, which is practical when packaging creams, gels, powders, samples or smaller portions of products. Thanks to the reliable lid, the jar is also suitable for thicker or free-flowing (powdery) formulations where protection against impurities and accidental opening is important.
The packaging is designed to be practical for storage, handling and transport. Smooth walls and a regular shape make labelling and branding easier, which is appreciated by small manufactories, artisan producers and smaller natural cosmetic brands. Thanks to the transparent design you can immediately see the colour, texture and approximate amount of product in the jar, which increases the user comfort for the end customer.
This jar is supplied directly with a lid, creating a functional, ready-to-use set for immediate application without the need to purchase additional components. The packaging and closure combinations created directly on Handymade are tested and functional. However, for all combinations we always recommend carrying out your own compatibility test (sealing, dosing and behaviour of the packaging in contact with the specific formulation).
All technical parameters of the packaging are listed in the attached packaging quality certificate (Atest) and in the product parameters.
The jar is suitable for packaging a wide range of cosmetic formulations such as balms, butters, ointments, creams or scrubs, provided its properties are in line with the information given in the product parameters and the packaging quality certificate. Before final implementation we always recommend carrying out a trial filling and testing how the specific formula behaves in contact with the packaging (stability, change in colour, scent or consistency).
The jar can be reused provided correct hygiene principles are followed. Before each new filling, the container must be thoroughly cleaned and then disinfected, ideally using a suitable alcohol, for example isopropyl alcohol or ethanol. For this purpose, you can use the products IPA 99% isopropyl alcohol or Ethanol 96% denatured plant-based. Only after the disinfectant has completely dried and aired out is the jar ready for new filling.
First remove the residues of the original product mechanically, then wash the jar with warm (not boiling) water and a mild dishwashing detergent. After rinsing, let the container dry and then disinfect it with an alcohol solution, for example using products available on Handymade. For plastic packaging in general, we do not recommend exposing the material to very high temperatures so that the shape and functionality of the jar are preserved. After disinfection, allow the packaging to dry completely and air out before the next filling.
If you decide not to reuse the jar, we recommend placing it in sorted waste collection according to the type of plastic specified in the product parameters. Before recycling, remove the product residues and at least roughly rinse the container so that it does not contain significant remains of cosmetics or other material. Then place it in the appropriate container for sorted waste in line with local collection rules. This will ensure that the material can be processed more efficiently in the recycling process.
To make selecting the packaging easier, you can use the advanced filter available at the top of the page after clicking on the relevant packaging category. In the filter it is possible to combine multiple parameters at once – for example the type and size of the neck, the overall size of the container, colour and material. Using these parameters, you can quickly narrow down the offer to only those packages that correspond to your formulation, design and intended method of use.
