With every new filling, however, strict hygiene rules must be observed – clean the bottle thoroughly, rinse it and disinfect it before filling with a suitable alcohol-based preparation (for example isopropyl alcohol or ethanol). For disinfection you can use products available on Handymade, for example IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol or Ethanol 96 % denatured plant-based. Only after the packaging has completely dried is it appropriate to proceed to refilling.

Before first use we recommend visually checking the bottle, removing any dust or manufacturing residues and then rinsing it with warm water and a suitable cleaning agent. After thorough rinsing with clean water, it is appropriate to disinfect the packaging with an alcohol-based preparation, for example with IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol or 96 % plant-based ethanol. After the alcohol has completely evaporated and the bottle has dried in a clean environment, it is ready for filling.

If you decide not to reuse the container, its recycling is recommended according to the material type stated in the product parameters on the Handymade website. The glass body of the bottle, after removal of product residues and basic rinsing, is usually placed in the container intended for glass. The closure, dropper or spray head may be made of a different material (for example plastic or metal), so it is appropriate to separate them and recycle them in accordance with local recycling rules.
