The glass bottle with aluminium closure represents a universal and aesthetic packaging suitable for filling a wide range of liquid and slightly viscous preparations. Clear glass enables visual control of the contents, makes dosing easier, and is ideal for products where the colour or clarity of the final formulation is important. In combination with a high-quality aluminium cap, this bottle offers reliable sealing and a professional appearance for home-made and artisanal brands of cosmetics or food supplements.
Glass bottles of this type are compatible with various types of closures and dosing systems (for example screw caps, droppers, sprayers or practical applicators) according to the parameters selected in the offer. Combinations of packaging and closures created directly on Handymade are tested and functional. However, for all combinations we always recommend carrying out your own compatibility test – in particular in terms of sealing, dosing and the behaviour of the packaging in contact with the specific formulation.
All technical parameters of the packaging are given in the attached Packaging Quality Certificate and in the product parameters.
Yes, the glass bottle can be reused if hygiene principles are observed. Before each new filling, the packaging must be thoroughly cleaned, rinsed and then disinfected with a suitable alcohol, for example with isopropyl alcohol or denatured ethanol. Disinfection helps minimise the risk of microbial contamination and prolongs the stability of your cosmetic or other preparations.
First empty the bottle and remove any residues of the original contents, ideally using warm water and a suitable cleaning agent. Then rinse it thoroughly with clean water, allow it to drain and dry. After drying, we recommend disinfecting the inner surface and the neck with, for example, alcohol-based products such as IPA 99 % or ethanol 96 % denatured, plant-based. Only after the alcohol has completely evaporated is the packaging ready for refilling.
If you decide not to use the bottle any longer, we recommend recycling it responsibly in accordance with the recommendations given for the product in the parameter table. The glass body of the packaging usually belongs in the container intended for glass, and it is advisable to remove any residual contents beforehand. The aluminium closure is usually sorted with metals or mixed waste according to local collection rules. Always follow local recycling instructions and the information in the product parameters on the Handymade website so that recycling is as effective as possible.
Glass is generally a very stable and inert material that tolerates formulations containing essential oils and alcohol well. However, when working with highly concentrated essential oils or strongly alcoholic solutions, we always recommend performing your own compatibility test – in particular in terms of closure sealing, possible discolouration or change in odour. Test a small amount of the product in the bottle for several days to verify the long-term behaviour of the packaging and the contents.
The fastest way is to use the advanced filter in the relevant packaging category. After clicking on the category of bottles, pharmaceutical bottles or other packaging materials, you will find the advanced filtering at the top of the page. This allows you to easily select packaging according to neck type, desired size, colour and material. By combining these parameters, you will quickly narrow down the range to the packaging that best matches your formulation and intended use.
