The spray pump is ideal especially for liquid and low-viscosity formulations such as hydrolats, toners, water-based and light alcoholic solutions. Thick emulsions or heavy oil serums may reduce the quality of atomization or clog the mechanism. For your own recipes we always recommend doing a trial filling and testing whether the spray pump doses the product sufficiently finely and evenly.

The packaging can be reused if hygiene principles are observed. Before each new filling, the bottle must be thoroughly cleaned, rinsed and subsequently disinfected with a suitable alcoholic preparation. For disinfection we recommend alcohol-based preparations, for example isopropyl alcohol IPA 99 % or ethanol 96 % denatured plant-based. The disinfectant solution should also be poured through the spray pump in order to clean the inner capillary and the nozzle. After disinfection, allow all parts to dry completely before refilling the packaging.

The bottle with spray pump works best for products that benefit from fine atomization: facial and body sprays, floral waters, refreshing mists, hair tonics, light oil–water blends after thorough shaking, home perfumes and disinfectant or cleaning solutions. Thanks to the transparent glass, you also have a good overview of the remaining amount of product and any changes in the appearance of the formulation.

If you decide not to reuse the packaging, we recommend recycling it according to the material types listed in the product parameters. The glass part of the bottle can, after emptying and rinsing off product residues, be placed in the appropriate glass container in accordance with local waste sorting rules. The spray pump consists of several components (plastic, metal spring, etc.) which cannot always be sorted together with glass; therefore follow the recommendations of the local waste collection system and the information in the parameter table next to the product. Before handing over for recycling, it is advisable to remove the remaining contents in order to minimize contamination of other sorted material.
