The plastic bottle with white disc top closure represents a practical and reliable packaging for various liquid and slightly gel-like formulations in cosmetics and homemade preparations. Thanks to its well-thought-out shape and functional closure, it allows comfortable dispensing while minimizing the risk of unwanted leakage of the contents during use as well as storage. The brown version of the packaging helps reduce light penetration to more sensitive components of the formulas.
This description refers to the combination of the bottle and the white disc top closure, which provides practical dispensing without the need to open the packaging completely. Combinations of packaging and closures that are created directly on Handymade are tested and functional. However, for all combinations we always recommend carrying out your own compatibility test – to verify sealing, dispensing comfort and also the behaviour of the packaging in contact with the specific formulation (especially for products with a higher content of alcohol, essential oils or active substances).

The bottle with disc top closure is primarily intended for liquid and semi-liquid preparations with low to medium viscosity. Light gels or thin emulsions can be dispensed comfortably as long as they remain sufficiently fluid to flow smoothly when the packaging is gently squeezed. For thicker creams we recommend choosing a different type of dispensing (for example a pump or a jar) and always testing the real behaviour of the product in the selected packaging before final filling.
The packaging can be used repeatedly if the correct hygiene principles are observed; however, we always recommend paying attention to thorough cleaning between individual refills. Before each new filling, the bottle and the closure must be mechanically cleaned, thoroughly rinsed and then disinfected with a suitable alcohol-based preparation, for example with IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol or 96 % denatured plant-based ethanol. Only after the complete drying of the surface and the inner space of the packaging is the bottle ready for further safe use.
For cleaning we recommend using warm water with a suitable mild cleaning agent, rinsing the bottle thoroughly and letting it dry naturally. Afterwards it is advisable to carry out disinfection of the inner surface and the closure using an alcohol-based disinfectant. The plastic material of this type is not intended to be exposed to high temperatures, therefore do not expose the packaging to boiling water, do not boil it and do not wash it in a dishwasher, where it could become deformed or its sealing properties could deteriorate.
If you decide not to use the bottle and the closure further, we recommend emptying them before disposal and removing product residues as far as possible. The subsequent method of recycling and classification into a specific type of sorted waste must be adapted to the type of plastic given in the parameter table for the product on Handymade. According to the material stated there, choose the appropriate collection container for sorted waste in your municipality. If the local rules for sorting packaging plastics are not clear, it is advisable to check them with your local waste management operator so that the packaging is recycled as efficiently as possible.
