Plastic pharmaceutical bottle with spray pump represents a practical and lightweight packaging suitable for filling various liquid preparations where fine and even dosing in the form of a mist is important. Thanks to the combination of high-quality plastic and a functional spray pump, the packaging is suitable for both cosmetic and technical formulations that require hygienic and convenient use. The dark design of the packaging also helps to limit the impact of light on more sensitive contents, thereby contributing to better stability of the stored mixtures.
Combinations of packaging and closures that are created directly on Handymade are tested and functional. However, for all combinations we always recommend carrying out your own compatibility test – especially in terms of sealing, dosing and the behaviour of the packaging in contact with the specific formulation (viscosity, alcohol content, oil or water base, etc.).
All technical parameters of the packaging are listed in the attached Packaging Quality Certificate and in the product parameters.
The spray pump is optimized primarily for thin liquids and watery solutions, for which it can create a fine and even mist. With thicker emulsions or gels, dosing may deteriorate or the mechanism may become clogged. Before final filling, we recommend testing the behaviour of your specific formulation in a smaller amount and, if necessary, adjusting the viscosity or choosing a different type of packaging and dosing system.
The packaging can be used repeatedly if handled correctly and if hygiene principles are observed. Before each new filling, it is important to thoroughly clean the bottle and the spray mechanism and then disinfect them with a suitable alcohol-based preparation, for example using the products IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol or Ethanol 96 % denatured vegetable. Only after the alcohol has completely dried and ventilated do we recommend refilling the packaging, in order to maintain the stability and quality of your formulation.
In the event of impaired operation of the spray pump, we recommend first emptying the packaging and dismantling the mechanism into the accessible parts (bottle, spray head, tube). Rinse the individual parts with warm (not boiling) water and a mild cleaning agent, then rinse thoroughly with clean water and finally disinfect with a suitable alcohol. After complete drying, check that the dip tube is undamaged and correctly fitted, and only then refill the packaging and test the dosing.
If you decide not to reuse the packaging, we recommend, after emptying and basic rinsing, placing it in the appropriate sorted waste stream according to the information given in the parameter table for the product on the Handymade website. It is advisable to separate the bottle and the spray mechanism before recycling so that the individual parts can be processed according to their material composition. By following local waste-sorting rules, you contribute to more efficient recovery of used packaging and to reducing environmental burden.
