FAQ – Most frequent questions

Is it possible to use this plastic bottle repeatedly?

The packaging can be used repeatedly if basic hygiene rules are observed and it is handled appropriately. Before each new filling, the bottle and the dispenser must be thoroughly cleaned and subsequently disinfected, for example using isopropyl alcohol IPA 99 % – isopropyl alcohol or plant ethanol Ethanol 96 % denatured. This reduces the risk of microbial contamination and of influencing the stability of your preparations.

How to safely clean and disinfect the bottle with dispenser before further use?

First mechanically remove residues of the original product by rinsing with lukewarm water and a mild cleaning agent that is compatible with PET material. Then allow the packaging to be well rinsed and dried. Before refilling, we recommend disinfecting the inner surface of the bottle and the components of the dispenser with an alcohol solution, for example with the products IPA 99 isopropyl alcohol or Ethanol 96 denatured plant. After disinfection, allow all parts to air thoroughly and only then refill the container.

What should you watch out for when exposing the plastic bottle to heat or hot water?

Since this is packaging made of PET material, it should not be exposed to high temperatures, for example hot water, direct action of a heat source or long‑term exposure to blazing sun. In case of excessive heating, the packaging may deform, the function of the dispenser may worsen, or the mechanical stability may weaken. Therefore, do not wash the bottle in a dishwasher, do not boil it, and use only lukewarm water and gentle cleaning agents for cleaning.

How to correctly recycle this packaging if I do not want to use it further?

If you decide not to use the bottle with dispenser any longer, we recommend placing it in sorted waste according to the type of plastic used, as stated in the product parameters. Before handing it over for collection, empty the packaging as much as possible and, if possible, separate the individual parts (bottle body, dispenser, possibly the tube) so that sorting is more efficient. Follow local rules for plastic sorting in your municipality or city and the information given with the product so that recycling is as environmentally friendly as possible.

Before practical implementation, we therefore recommend carrying out a trial filling with your specific recipe to verify whether the pump ensures the required amount of product without excessive pressure and without clogging.
