The plastic bottle with pump represents a practical and durable packaging for hygiene and cosmetic preparations for which you need to ensure convenient and controlled dispensing. It is suitable for filling liquid and gel products that require clean application without the contents coming into contact with air and hands. Thanks to its robust design, the packaging is stable during storage and use and supports the professional appearance of the final product.
This type of medicine bottle with dosing pump is designed for reliable and repeatable dispensing, which reduces the risk of contamination of the contents. Uniform dispensing, practical closing and a rigid shape design make this plastic container a suitable solution for artisan as well as smaller professional production of cosmetics and hygiene preparations.
This packaging is supplied directly with a pump, with the bottle + dosing closure combination created on Handymade as a functional unit. Combinations of packaging and closures that are created directly on Handymade are tested and functional. However, for all combinations we always recommend carrying out your own compatibility test (sealing, dosing and the behaviour of the packaging in contact with the specific formulation), especially when using active substances, essential oils or a high proportion of alcohol.
All technical parameters of the packaging are listed in the attached Packaging Quality Certificate and in the product parameters.
The pump bottle is ideal mainly for liquid and medium-viscosity products, such as facial and body lotions, lighter creams, gels and liquid soaps. For very thick formulations, we recommend making a small test batch and testing the dispensing to verify whether the product is pumped through the pump without problems and no clogging occurs.
The packaging can be used repeatedly if hygiene principles are observed. Before each new filling, both the bottle and the pump must be thoroughly cleaned and disinfected in order to minimise the risk of microbial contamination of the product. For disinfection we recommend using isopropyl alcohol or ethanol, for example the products IPA 99 % – isopropyl alcohol or Ethanol 96 % denatured plant-based. After applying the alcohol, allow all parts to dry completely and only then refill the bottle.
After emptying the packaging, we recommend disassembling the pump as far as the design allows and rinsing it with warm water and a mild cleaning agent. Then push clean water through the mechanism to remove product residues from the internal channels. Before the next use, it is advisable to disinfect the pump with alcohol and allow it to dry completely. Avoid using excessively hot water or aggressive solvents that could shorten the service life of the mechanism.
If you decide not to reuse the packaging, we recommend placing it, after emptying and basic rinsing, into separated collection according to the type of plastic stated in the product parameters. It is advisable to disassemble the bottle and the pump into individual parts and sort them according to local rules for plastic collection. Always follow the material pictogram and the recommendations of your collection yard or municipality. In this way you will support material recycling and reduce the amount of municipal waste.
The simplest way is to use the advanced filter in the relevant packaging material category. After clicking on the category at the top of the page, you will find an option for detailed filtering where you can select suitable packaging according to parameters such as neck type, size, colour and material. By combining these filters, you will quickly narrow the offer to packaging that corresponds to your product both technically and in terms of design.
Many cosmetic formulations containing alcohol or essential oils are well tolerated with this type of plastic packaging, but we always recommend carrying out your own compatibility test with the specific formula. Fill a smaller amount of product into one bottle and observe the behaviour of the material (colour changes, softening, deformation) and the function of the pump over several days to weeks. With a higher proportion of alcohol or highly concentrated essential oils, test filling is important for the long-term safe use of the packaging.
