FAQ – Most frequently asked questions

Can the glass medicine bottle be used repeatedly?

Yes, the glass medicine bottle can be used repeatedly if hygiene principles are observed. Before each refilling, the packaging must be thoroughly cleaned and disinfected in order to prevent contamination of the new batch of product. For disinfection, we recommend using for example isopropyl alcohol IPA 99 % – isopropyl alcohol or plant-based ethanol Ethanol 96 % denatured plant-based. After thorough rinsing and drying, the container is ready for reuse.

How should the glass bottle be properly cleaned before first use?

Before first use, we recommend rinsing the bottle with lukewarm water and a mild cleaning agent, rinsing it thoroughly with clean water and subsequently disinfecting it with a suitable alcohol-based preparation (for example IPA 99 % or ethanol 96 % plant-based). After disinfection, allow the interior and outer surface to dry completely at room temperature in a clean environment. A packaging prepared in this way is suitable for filling sensitive cosmetic formulations.

What should I do if I do not want to continue using the bottle – how should it be properly disposed of and recycled?

If you decide not to use the packaging anymore, we recommend placing it in sorted waste collection according to the material specified in the product parameters. The glass body of the bottle is usually placed in the container intended for glass, while plastic or metal components of the closure are sorted separately according to local waste collection rules. Before handing over the packaging for recycling, it is advisable to remove any product residues and labels as far as possible. In this way, you support efficient material recycling and reduce the amount of municipal waste.

Is this medicine bottle also suitable for very fluid or thin products?

The glass medicine bottle is also suitable for thin, low-viscosity products such as aqueous solutions, toners or alcohol-based preparations. For very fluid formulations, we recommend choosing a closure with a dropper, drop insert or another type of controlled dosing, in order to prevent unintended spillage and ensure precise dosing. When choosing the closure, it is always important to carry out a trial filling and leak test to verify that the chosen combination of packaging and closure fully meets your specific formulation.
