Yes, the packaging can be used repeatedly with proper handling and observance of hygienic principles. Before each new filling, it is necessary to thoroughly clean the bottle and the spray pump, remove the residues of the original product and then disinfect the packaging with a suitable preparation. For disinfection we recommend using isopropyl alcohol or ethanol intended for this purpose – you will find them in our offer as IPA 99% isopropyl alcohol and Ethanol 96% denatured plant-based. In this way you prepare the packaging for safe refilling with a minimal risk of microbial contamination.

To maintain the smooth function of the spray pump, we recommend, after the contents have been used up, disassembling the bottle and the head (if the construction allows it) and rinsing the mechanical parts with lukewarm water or a mild cleaning solution suitable for the given type of product. It is then advisable to “spray through” the system several times with clean water in order to remove product residues from the nozzle and tube. After finishing the cleaning, we recommend disinfecting the packaging and allowing it to dry thoroughly before the next filling to minimise the risk of clogging and microbial growth.

The packaging can also be used for preparations containing alcohol or essential oils, but it is always important to verify the compatibility of the specific recipe with the material of the bottle and the spray pump. We recommend performing a test with a smaller amount – filling part of the packaging and monitoring any changes such as softening of the plastic, colour change, odour of the material or deterioration of the spray function. If the packaging does not show any changes after the test period, it may be suitable for longer-term use with that type of formulation.

The method of recycling depends on the material stated in the product parameters. Before handing it over for recycling, it is advisable to empty the packaging and, if necessary, rinse it from product residues. We then recommend separating the plastic and any metal parts of the spray pump so that they can be correctly classified into sorted waste according to local rules (for example containers for plastics). Always adapt the specific recycling instructions to the material designation in the product parameter table and to the local waste-sorting system. If possible, always prefer recycling over disposal in mixed waste.
